Dr. Edward Attah-Botchwey Dr. Edward Attah-Botchwey

I am writing a rejoinder on the above publication on GhanaWeb news item dated 6th May 2020. I wish to state categorically I have no idea of what story was trying to portray me as. For someone in academia and also the Head of a department, I know better than not to plagiarize someone’s article and make it mine.

I appreciate how great offense plagiarism is, in my field of work, which makes it even unthinkable as to the extent the supposed author of the article would go to tarnish my reputation. The article was sent via an android Samsung phone to the daily graphic editor.

I for one do not use a Samsung Android phone, which makes it all the more baffling that the article was published in my name. My area of specialization is in Banking, Finance and Pensions which makes it even laughable that I, with all the experience under my belt will steal someone’s work to make it mine, in a field that is a comfort zone to me.

I wish to bring to the attention of this website that I have not been involved in any form of plagiarism whatsoever, and that persons painting this picture about me are only out to soil my hard-won image over the years.

As to the reason behind the motive, I cannot tell but I know very well, deep down my heart that, the truth shall not be hidden forever. I know for sure that the God that I serve, the God that spoke into my life all these years will speak again.

I hope this rejoinder will be accepted in good faith.

Yours sincerely Signed Edward Attah-Botchwey
