Verna Purified Water emerges as ultimate winner at Ghana Beverage Awards 2023

Following a huge display of creativity and innovation to canvass the most votes, Verna Purified Water has been adjudged the ultimate winner at the just-ended Ghana Beverages Awards (GBA) held at the Kempinski Gold Coast City Accra.

The awards night which saw Verna Purified Water beat Star Beer, Malta Guinness, Bel-Cola, Vitamilk Regular, Tampico, Coca-Cola, and Adonko Bitters in an intense competition to emerge as the ultimate winner will go into the books for exuding glitz, glamour, and elegance.

Other beverage brands awarded on the night included Heritage Beer, Heineken, and Johnnie Walker


Receiving the award, Emelia Gyasi, Marketing Manager for Twellium Industrial Company Limited expressed gratitude to the organizers and the GBA Committee for recognizing their hard work for the year under review. She lauded consumers for their loyalty and their confidence in the product while dedicating the award to the staff of Twellium Industrial Company.

She affirmed Twellium Industrial Company Limited’s dedication to remaining at the forefront of the ever-evolving beverage industry, promising continuous improvement in product quality, health standards, and environmental sustainability.

“At Twellium Industrial Company, we understand that the beverage industry is constantly evolving, and we are committed to staying at the forefront of these changes. We assure our patrons that we will continuously be working to improve our products, to ensure that they are not only delicious but also healthy and environmentally friendly,” she emphasized.

On his part, Chief Executive Officer for Global Media Alliance, Ernest Boateng congratulated Verna Natural Mineral Water for clinching the top honour, commending all stakeholders for their support.

GBA has come a long way and has grown in varied facets by virtue of constant feedback from our stakeholders. The successes chalked over the years could not have been possible without the support of our stakeholders and industry players whose participation and interest in seeing that GBA grows on all levels.

The eighth edition of the Ghana Beverage Awards was organized with a special focus on developing players along the entire beverage value chain. This paved the way for the inclusion of a first-ever bartenders’ masterclass in the scheme’s collection of activities littered along the path to the main event. Additionally, sustainability took center stage in the affairs of the scheme this year leading to the introduction of a new category-Sustainability Champion of the Year.

Since its inception, GBA has been crucial in highlighting the local beverage industry, promoting both domestic and foreign products, and encouraging small-scale beverage businesses in Ghana to participate. It has remained a force to reckon with through its contribution to ensuring that beverage manufacturing companies are compliant with the highest standards of practice in the production and delivery of their products.
