NDP's Ofei Agyemang resigns; supports Nana Addo

XYZ News can confirm that a leading member of the newly-formed National Democratic Party (NDP), Dr. Ofei Agyeman, has resigned from the Party.

Dr. Agyeman who resigned three days to the Party’s first delegates congress told the Daily Graphic Newspaper the NDP was not keen on putting in place structures and resources to enhance the party’s fortunes in the December polls.

Dr. Ofei Agyemang is said to be unhappy with the decision by the interim executive of the party to postpone the congress intended to elect a flagbearer twice.

He told Adom FM on Thursday that he believes the flagbearer of the NPP Nana Akufo-Addo should win the elections.

The NDP was formed by a group of disgruntled NDC members who are unhappy with the way the party had sidelined the former first couple.

Its Interim Chairman, Dr. Josiah Aryeh has been wooing the former first lady Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings to lead the party into the December elections but she does not seem to have made up her mind yet.
