My husband is committed to free and fair elections -Lordina

First lady Lordina Mahama has assured the chiefs and people of the Brong Ahafo region that the December elections will be devoid of acrimony and violence.

She said President Mahama is committed to ensuring that Ghana goes through a very credible, free and fair election.

Madam Lordina gave this assurance when she paid a courtesy call on the Omanhene of Nkoranza, Okatakyie Agyemang Kodom IV as part of her tour of the region.

She reiterated the NDC government under President Mahama will continue to ensure the equitable development in the country.

On his part, the Omanhene of Nkoranza, Okatakyie Agyemang Kodom IV, recounted the numerous development projects that the NDC government has brought to the traditional area including a municipality, hospitals, schools, lights, roads and potable drinking water.

Meanwhile, First Lady Lordina Mahama has been enstooled, by the chiefs and people of Bodom and Ampoma, as development queen (Nkosuohemaa) .

The chief of Bodom, Nana Oppong Kyekyeku expressed his gratitude to the first lady, also a native of Bodom, for bringing development projects to help her people.

Some of the projects include schools, health post, road construction, provision of lights and potable drinking water.

He said Madam Lordina Mahama who is a native of the town has been an inspiration for the people of Bodom.

For her part the First Lady promised to bring more developments to the area to help improve their living conditions. She urged them to vote massively for the NDC in the December polls.
