President of Lebanon congratulates President Mahama

General Michel Suleiman, President of the Republic of Lebanon has congratulated President John Mahama for his election as President of the nation.

He expressed the hope that the trust he received would continue to lead the country along the path of growth and stability.

This was contained in a press release delivered to the Ghana News Agency by the Director of Information and Public Bureau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.

President Suleiman assured President Mahama of his desire to promote cooperation between the two countries and the development of their bilateral relations in all fields.

He expressed his appreciation for the sacrifices made by Ghanaian soldiers within the framework of the international peacekeeping force in southern Lebanon and their contribution to strengthen the stability of his country.
