My Truth Will Prevail - says God

In this article we will be looking at the deep truths about God and His Word which over the years Christians or people of God have taken for granted. Though the bible says there is no searching of His understanding yet there are certain basic truths that we cannot be excused on. There are many who are desperate for the truth yet are missing on these basic truths about God, His Word concerning them because they are looking too far when everything is nigh. They are looking in the wrong places as they are desperate to hear someone tell them the cause of their problems or what to do and not to do.

People cannot decipher these truths for they need a child-like kind of attitude or faith to be able to assimilate and appreciate it. You don’t need a prophet or a pastor to tell you this. God in these last days is making evident His truth in order for us not to be deceived by the trend of events so as to give up the hope of the gospel. The gospel is a living hope that concretizes the security we have through Christ Jesus. It is possible to be shaken by the world trend of events or your circumstances that you may become blinded to this truth. No matter how bad the economy or our situation becomes God is able to perfect that which concerns His people. We have a choice. We can choose to flow with the world and be discouraged, distracted and judgmental or to go with the Word of God and be hopeful, focused on our eternal destiny.

Unfortunately the devil is tricking some of us into believing that all is lost. The destiny of the Christian is not in the hands of the economy of America or of the world or even himself or herself but in the hands of God. There are some who believe that they need to have certain credentials, be in a certain country, be in a certain class or hold a certain job before they can succeed. I am here to say that, it’s an erroneous mindset and false hope. The bible says for by strength no man shall prevail (1 Samuel 2:9b). You may have a good job, high academic degrees, good marriage, a house e.t.c. However it’s sad to say you don’t have the power to sustain all these entities you have. Only God has the power to sustain them. Quite interestingly, we live in a world of socio-economic inequity which is dominated by three things; class, race and gender. Nevertheless, there is a leveraging of these differences in these last days for all to know that He alone is God. The uncertainty in the world and the global economic downturn are all ramifications supporting this leverage. We are all at the mercy of God and we need to acknowledge that.

For in the midst of global economic uncertainty, hope cannot be found in any of our secular acquisitions. You see the perpetuation of uncertainty in our global economy is inevitable and there is the need for the people of God to change their mindset and be more hopeful in God. Our GOD who created the Universe and all that is in it says, I am the God of all flesh, Is there anything too hard for Me (Jeremiah 32:27). The fact that you are going through hard times does not mean God has forgotten you. It is because God has a divine purpose for your life. You and I get frustrated because our plans do not conform to the divine plans of God for our lives. It is time we let go our plans for God’s plan which is the absolute truth to prevail in our lives. The bible says “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is in the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit” (Jeremiah 17:7-8). Whilst the economic uncertainty heat is on, God is saying that if your hope is in me do not fear for you will be protected, preserved and prosperous. In your years of economic drought or lack, you don’t have to be anxious because He will sustain you. David said he has never seen the righteous forsaken nor his descendants begging for bread (Psalm 37:25). If you feel forsaken know that so far as you are alive, you have the large capacity of faith to exercise and see God work in your life mightily. God bless you.
