President Kufuor Voted Ghanaweb "Person of the Year"

John Agyekum Kufuor, the president of Ghana, has been voted Ghanaweb’s ''Person of the Year'' for 2002.

In a Ghanaweb poll (website - polls) organized on the GhanaHomaPage from 30 December 2002 to 3 January 2003, President Kufuor's got apporximately 40% of the votes.

He beat Ex-President Jerry John Rawlings (31.2%), Asantehene (12.5%), Minister of Defense, Addo Kufuor (6.0%), Kofi Wayo (5.6%) and Tsatsu Tsikata (5.2%)

Over 3,000 visitors to the GhanaHomePage took part in the online poll.

Arrangements are ongoing to do a formal presentation to the president. Watch this space.
