A failed flagbearer-aspirant of the main opposition New Patriotic Party, Dr Konadu Apraku, has extended a goodwill message to the winner of last Sunday’s Super delegates' elections, Nana Akufo-Addo.
In a brief message, Apraku said: “I have called and congratulated my colleague and friend, Nana Akufo-Addo for his overwhelming victory. I wish him good luck and may God guide him as he embarks on the next phase of the campaign".
The former trade Minister also indicated that he has accepted the results of the election, which saw his exit from the race.
“I have accepted the results of the special Electoral College elections held on Aug. 31st 2014. I wish to thank all those who supported me during the campaign period and on the day of the elections,” he wrote.
The biggest opposition party will go for a national delegates' conference on October 18 to elect a flagbearer to represent the party in the 2016 elections
