Three Ghanaian artistes, Atumpan, Fuse ODG and Sarkodie have received nominations for the 2014 Urban Music Awards, which are scheduled for London on Saturday, November 15, 2014.
Fuse ODG was nominated in three categories namely Best African/Afro Beats Act; Best Collaboration for Dangerous Love, feat Sean Paul and is amongst the front-runners for the ultimate award of Best Male Artist.
Sarkodie and Atumpan received a single nomination each in the category of the Best African/Afro Beats Act. Other Africans nominated alongside the three Ghanaians in the category of Best African/Afro Beats Act are Wizkid and Burna Boy.
Nominations for the awards, which is in its 12th edition was announced by The European Urban Awards & the UMA Academy.
Just like previous years, music fans have the option to select nominees for each of the 21 categories as well as decide the winners of the various categories by voting online.
Voting for the Urban Music Awards started online from Monday, 13 October 2014 and would run until Monday, 10 November 2014 on www.urbanmusicawards.net.
It is the number one premiere R&B, Hip Hop, Soul and Dance Music awards ceremony in the world.
