Samia salutes organisers of #Dumsormuststop vigil

Chairperson of the Convention People’s Party Samia Nkrumah has thrown her support behind the celebrities organising tonight’s dumsor must stop vigil.

In a facebook post, the daughter of Ghana’s former President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, said she is solidly behind the actions of the celebrities adding that Ghana must be liberated from the economic mismanagement that has led us to darkness.

“We wish our conscious celebrities well in tonight's vigil. We salute you for your courage in taking this bold step. Tonight you're the voice of the people.

“Ghana must be liberated from the economic mismanagement that has led us to darkness and dependency. You have our support!,” the former Member of Parliament for Elembele wrote on her facebook wall.

A group of Ghanaian celebrities led by Yvonne Nelson is spearheading the #Dumsormuststop vigil today, to compel the John Mahama-led administration to find immediate solution to the incessant blackout facing Ghana.

The vigil kicks off at 4pm from the Legon bridge and will end around 6.30pm at the green lawn of the Tetteh Quarshie Roundabout in Accra.
