Victorious Liberty Professionals coach George Lamptey twisted the knife further into Hearts of Oak claiming the Phobians are the “cheapest” he has played against this season after winning 1-0 in Accra on Thursday.
The Scientific Soccer Lads dented Hearts of Oak’s ambitions of going top of the table ahead of the weekend’s final round of matches to end the first half of the season.
Issah Mohammed Shaibu’s 18th minute goal sealed the points for the Liberty which sent them to the
Lamptey says they could have annihilated their hosts.
"The Hearts of Oak we have being hearing about is not the team we saw today, the opposition was too cheap and we should have finished them off in the first half,” Lamptey said in a post-match conference.
"My boys were very comfortable with their play but with regards to the match, I would describe Hearts as the cheapest team we have played so far."
