Kenpong buries mother on Saturday

Madam Janet Yaa Biamah, mother of business man Kennedy Agyapong (Kenpong) will join the ancestral world tomorrow at Mpraeso Kwahu in the Eastern Region.

The deceased although succeeded in raising a son, Kenpong, who has touched many lives positively in and beyond the country.

His humility, dedication and hard work has endeared him to high profile personalities like presidents and common men alike.

on Saturday at the Mpraeso Stadium, where the expected grand funeral is scheduled to take place, thousands, including ex Ghana presidents- John Rawlings and John Kuffuor, IGP, John Kudalo, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, representatives from government circles(chief of staff, Julius Debrah, ministers), high powered delegation from Manhyia, officials of the GFA ,Asante Kotoko management, footballers, musicians, business men are expected to support Kenpong to bid his mother farewell.

Brazil-based Kotoko faithful E T Mensah said in an interview that "This is the time fans of our club should demonstrate love to the man who has served the club for the past 17 years.

He has served every administration with his heart and money, the time has come for us to pay him back."

A level-headed funeral committee comprising Welbeck Yaw Abra Appiah, former PLB boss, George Amoako, Robert Agyapong has been set up for the smooth conduction of the funeral.

The deceased, 68, left behind a husband Jacob Agyapong and six children.
