Ghana Premier League outfit Techiman City FC have secured a mouthwatering contract with Ghanaian-owned oil company Nasona Oil Limited to the tune of $35,000 for two years, Ghanasoccernet.com can confirm.
The Techimna-based Zone One champions will be playing in the Ghana Premier League which is expected to start on the 20th of this month.
Speaking at the ceremony organized in Techiman yesterday, Managing Director of Nasona Oil Company Limited, Alhaji Abuba Shaibu acknowledged that the company is looking to grow their hence their partnership with the new Premier League side.
"We are looking to grow our brand and for us, Techiman City Football Club provides us with the most powerful support needed to do this in the northern part of Ghana," Alhaji Abuba said.
Responding to the good news, President of Techiman City FC, Charles Kwadwo Ntim assured Nasona Oil Company of their support in growing the brand.
“This sponsorship from Nasona Oil Company Limited will go a long way. This will alleviate the financial burden on the club and also motivate the players ahead of the Ghana premier league,” Kwadwo Ntim said.
“We promise to give Nasona Oil all the necessary attention and mileage they deserve,” he added.
Techiman City FC are one of the three clubs who gained promotion from the Division One League into the Ghanaian top flight.
