My time will come - Emmanuel Clottey

Black Stars striker, Emmanuel Clottey has asked his fans to keep cool as he is marking time to shine for Ghana.

In a chat with www.sportsinghana.com, the Esperance du Tunis forward noted that there is time for everything and he is not in a rush to play at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

“I know am very young so there is more time for me. All depends on the coach and I’m doing my best at training. If he selects me, I hope to score to please the fans. I have not played a game yet but I believe all is going on very well because we have not lost a game,” he said.

Clottey who has been nominated by the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) for the best footballer award said the Ghana team has no problems.

He said everything is fine in camp at Port Elizabeth and he is only praying that the Black Stars get to the quarter finals and then go to the grand final in Johannesburg.

He praised his team mates for their output in the first two games which has rewarded Ghana four points and hoped that the team plays better against Niger.

“If I am fielded against Niger I will score to put Ghana in the quarter final,” he added.

He thanked the sports media of Ghana for considering him to nominate him as one of the best players in Ghana. Meanwhile, Isaac Vorsah has also promised to go all out to win the cup. He said his new hair style is to put fear in his opponents and create new friends.

"This is football and we are stars so we must do something to attract more fans. My new hair style is not only to advertise myself but to show that Ghanaians are also fashionable,” he said.
