Lets take our hands for this group of young talented boys and girls. I hope the continuos success of this program because it will produce some athletes. If it does not fall into the hands of people like Simpe Ashanti who was in charge of a program like this in the 70s. Gave scholarships to some students on paper and they never got the money. If this help goes to the right young and talented boys and girls that will increase our chances in the world competitions.
I want the country to bring back inter-schools athletics competition. From district to regional and regional to inter-regions. The best should selected to compete for the nation. It was call Ghana academicals.

ILL ADVICE THOSE GHANIAN YOUNG ATHELETES TO TAKE THE PATH OF OUR BELOVED LONG JUMPER-( GAYSER )-NOW A CITIZEN OF HOLLAND AND MAGARET SIMPSONS FUTURE TO BE AN ITALIAN BY CITIZEN..GHANA DONT LOOK AFTER ATHLETICS AND OTHER SPORTS THAN FOOTBALL COS OF THE HELL OF MONEY IN THE BLACK STARS..I AM ADVISING THESE YOUTHS TO TAKE THE FOOT STEPS OD GAYSER AND THE IDEOLOGY OF MARGARET SIMPSONS TO SWITCH NATIONALITIES TO AMERICANS COS THEY WILL BE POOR,AND GHANA WILL NOT ,NEVER, TAKE CARE OF THEM LIKE GFA TAKES CARE OF THE BLACK STARS NATIONAL TEAM PERIOD. THEY MUST BE INTERLEGENT TO SWITCH NATIONALITIES OF ALLEGIANCES TO BE AMERICANS.

They will like to have a retirement after all their hard work, a retirement Ghana won't provide them that's why they are switching allegiance. Ghana has never helped or rewarded any of the retired sportsmen with any retirement benefit after all the splendid representation and sacrifice they gave the country. Most of them died poor and today we hear their names being mentioned as heroes. Tweeaaa kai we need to do better. We are singing praises to this young ones as if sending them to the US is the answer to our athletics problem. Ghana track and field can only surge if there's a plan and at least food and incentives for athletes not just shooting them to america. Not all athletes can survive the hustle in america. If these athletes are smart they will concentrate on their academics because that's whats going to take them to the next level.

Your level of reasoning is wanting. You can't have it both ways.

First you say Ghana does a lousy job of helping athletes secure a future beyond sports. Yet when a national association prioritizes education together with athletics by helping place them in an environment where they have a chance to do both you complain? What do you want GAA to do ... take classes for them?
What is wrong with your kind?

We cannot rely on foreign facilities to claim there is an athletic revival ongoing in Ghana. That will be suicidal. We must stop all the nonsense and stupidity at high and low places of Ghana and provide good nutrition and training facilities locally to bring the best out of our talents. Is Jamaica richer than Ghana?
