Besides visiting friends and family there’s hardly any economic activity or tourism in kumasi to warrant any international airlines flying there except maybe Hajj or flights to other African countries like Nigeria

Also, the lengthening of the runway is primarily to allow for planes to fly further or with more payload. Not necessarily larger aircraft.

Do you know how many people will fly directly to Kumasi from the US, Canada and Europe? Moreover is there any study that supports your assertions? Because people from all walks of the West African coast come to do business in Kumasi, but because there’s no direct flights to Kumasi they mostly transit through Accra.

Does it make sense to inaugurate the airport and go back to extend the runway and other construction work. What makes an airport to international standard is not the building but the runway.
