Narrating the incident to DAILY GUIDE, Chief Superintendent Wilfred Kwadwo Anning said the complainant told police after lodging a complaint about his stolen vehicle that he was going to seek spiritual assistance from one of the acclaimed dreaded deities in the Volta Region to fast track the recovery of the car and the arrest of the thieves.

Lo and behold, after a few days’ search by the police, which yielded nothing, the car was chanced upon by the owner in his vicinity.

He quickly informed the police and together, they gave the driver a hot chase, in the course of which the driver landed in a ditch, causing damage to the car.

He was arrested together with a lady passenger, who happened to be his girlfriend.

The two have since been caged at the East Legon Police Station where the case was being investigated.

The police chief said the two lovebirds would be arraigned on four counts of conspiracy, unlawful entry, stealing and causing damage.

On Sunday November 25, the complainant, according to the police, parked his unregistered Toyota Corolla saloon car in his compound and went to bed.

Early the next morning, he realized that an aperture had been created in his window and his car key was not on the table where he kept it.

He came out to find that his car was nowhere to be found.

After lodging the complaint with the East Legon Police, the complainant assured police he was going to seek spiritual assistance in the arrest of the culprits.
