Court remands two accused drug dealers

Kumasi, Oct 12, GNA - A Kumasi Circuit Court has ordered two alleged narcotic drug dealers to be held in prison custody. Noah Kwabena Nyibina, 30, and Kwame Anokye, 32, were caught with seve= n parcels of dried leaves suspected to be cannabis. Their pleas were not taken and would re-appear on October 31. Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Doris Amewu told the court presided over by Justice D.W.P. Amedior that they were arrested on Septembe= r 25, at about 1130 hours by the Suame Police in Kumasi, following a tip-off. The accused had concealed the dried leaves in compartments of two travelling bags they were carrying.

They claimed, one 93K", a friend at Juaboso in the Western Region,= was the source. The prosecution said samples had been sent to the Police Forensic Laboratory in Accra for examination.
