I congratulate your association for your vibrancy and publicity efforts. We, your compatriots, back home take pride in you.
What we ask is that you initiate programs that will help improve the lifes of our people up Akropong and its villages, especially Kwamoso. Kwamoso, being the largest Akropong village is fast growing, but lack many social amenities. Both the Primary and Junior High School buildings are not in the best of shapes and lack well stocked library.
So many years back, I encountered a very laudable program at Bodomase or so in the Ashanti Region by which citizens in the diaspora, like you, asked the Town Development Committee to select two brilliant and disciplined young people to be assisted to re-locate to the US. You may also consider this.
Thank you and congrats, once again.

Tht is how US and most Western democracies started. It is not the President who appoints Town and district Chief excectives as our 1992 defetive constiton does. Moneys given associations can go into ndividual pockets and there is not much you can do about it.

In assisting communities these ways they do not only announce themselves but also make statements of their relevance to society. Else, they are seen as gatherings of individuals JUST for their own benefit, but no one else's. Remember that well-placed individuals and institutions(including associations) have social responsibilities towards societies within which they operate and relate to.
So, it is not out of place for me to plead with my compatriots out there to 'come to Macedonia to help'. In any case, they have been doing so and my call was just, like Oliver Twist, to ask for more.
In any case, thank you for your interest in "Akropong Kwakwaduam, osono dii mm3; odan si aduo"

Kwaku,
Your suggestion is well taken but must be directed to the powers that be that this is the way to develop towns
I am not very sure whether a few people in the diaspora with a passion to help their towns warrant a Town Council
I agree with your model of trying to develop towns but we have a long way to go

With second thought, let see USA national team with their believes can top group G(george) the group of death in Brazil. I know the Black Star atleast will win over them. Black star with their full focus and commitment will shock Germany. In the days of slavery, a ministers church(faith) would be demolished and his love (wife and children would be raped and killed), what was left for the minister was his salvation in Christ Jesus which noone can strip him of once secured.

Kwame, Kwakwaduam is a slogan used by the people of Akropong, a relatively small town in the Akuapem North District of the Eatern Region Of Ghana.
Akropong is the traditional capital of the people of Akuapem, and is located on the Akuapem mountains some few miles North East of Accra.
The people of Akropong speak Akuapem Twi, and like the rest of the people of Akuapem are known for their rich culture which is characterized by humility, politeness, decency in language, education and many adorable human attributes. It is the home of Presbyterianism in Ghana and hosted the first Teacher Training College in Ghana.
A typical Okroponi (a person from Akropong) hails, first, from a 'bron' (suburb) where his 'fi' (house/home) is located.
So ask any of your father's relatives about which 'bron' your father came from at Akropong and the name of the 'ofi' (house/home)and you can easily walk in there. To confirm that you belong to that house you may need to mention the names of your father, some of his siblings who lived there or were visited there regularly, and more importantly, your grandparents.
You are already welcome home, Kwame.
