In your haste to poopoo the education Sammy Gyemfi has given, you hv exposed your ignorance about the original intention of the project. Find the document and apprise yourself. Yes, lake transport is supposed to carry cargo from the Akosombo port to Northern part of Ghana for Onward transmission to other parts including our landlocked neighbours (Burkina Fasso, Mali etc). Thus is a no-brainer. This is called VISIONARY THINKING! We then improve our turnaround time in cargo handling and also extend the lifespan of our roads. Read ooo, read. The project documents are public property.

For your information the lake port has been moved from Akosombo to Mpakadan by the competent brains because a train path close to the dam will damage the Dam. The port is under construction anyway
