The problem of the writer is one of social illiteracy. No one in his right senses would even think of emulating the so-called Arab spring! Look and around the countries that went that way and tell me if there is anything to write home about!
In most of these countries, they even find themselves in a far worse situation than the evil system they were fighting! In any case, Mr. Pratt simply reminded Wontumi that Buazizi initiated the Arab spring by setting himself on fire, so if that is what he wants to do, "the road is in his front"!
The problem of opportunists is that they cry for a revolution without necessarily talking about what they are going to replace the system with. Often, as we have seen from the NPP, this lack of "further and better particulars" about what needs to be changed, is not an accident.
It is simply because their concern is more with a change of NDC faces with NPP faces, never mind whether the policies are the same! This is where people like Wontumi gets it completely wrong! Ghanaians are yearning for a genuine change, not more of the same thing!
In terms of policies, there is hardly any difference between the NPP and the NDC. Despite the popular opposition to the attempts to impose GMOs into our food chain, the NPP has been very supportive. The same can be said about the position of the TUC on the Economic Partnership Agreement, EPA with the European Union.
Both the NPP and the NDC are clearly singing from the same hymn-sheet! Thus, if there is a need for a change, the NPP ought to see itself as a part of the problem rather than the solution. It can only be a part of the solution when it begins to pronounce on pertinent political issues such as the current NDC push to impose GMOs on Ghanaians?
Wontumi's statement still remains nonsensical, and even if he manages to set himself ablaze and start off an "Arab spring" style of revolution in Ghana, with the inevitable destruction of our infrastructure, schools, hospitals, police, justice system, bombing of bridges, etc, it will still be nonsensical! Why should Kwesi apologize for this nonsense?

When Antwi Boasiako spewed his garbage, he was being true to his ilk - an unsavoury band of unpatriotic, self-seeking, avaricious, hubristic opposition politicians praying to God Almighty for and actively seeking to orchestrate the fall of our elected government. It's to their credit that we've a few marches taking place in Accra. All of those matches and the last one, bar none, have come from the stable of sore political losing and been absolutely nothing but political. But the result is nought, as the result of political subterfuge is bound to be. The elected government of Ghana is intact and getting on with forging a new future away from our perennial cycle of consecutive ease and hardship. If Adam wants Boasiako's lot in, he'll have to wait for Ghana to make that decision in December 2016.

Spring is a time when grass sprout from the ground, trees bud and blossom with leaves and flowers. The velvet and yellow revolutions in Eastern Europe failed to improve the lives of the people there. Those who gain from them are western countries which the break up of the economies of former socialist countries presented with cheap labour, market for everything including opium, highly qualified Eastern European women selling their bodies to make a living and even the culling of people and selling their body parts to criminal doctors in the west.
The Arab spring also leashed terror on the countries in which it took place. Since the spring or let us call the night of Islamic terror in Tunisia tens of thousands of Tunisians have lost their lives in the sea in their bid to flee from the Islamic terror that is leashed on them. In Egypt the military intervened to bring about normalcy. Libya is a country which centre can not hold and it will be the coming to power of one of the son's of Col. Ghaddafi that could save the situation. Syria were the dark spring was unable to consume have man eating Islamic terrorists who are supported by the west as marauding hounds.
So to think of the dark spring is like an European calling on the forces of the European Dark Ages to descend to Earth.

You know what? There's is an undeniable characteristic of any NDC member I have come across in life: the inability to utilize their God-given brains in any argument. It's like the house slave who, when the master is sick, would say that WE are sick.
There are millions of people in this country going through unprecedented hardships and when they complain, all you can do is compare your government to that of NPP. You are so insensitive to the plight of the average ghanaians. You think Ghanaians should be thankful that they are under Mahama's government instead of Kuffour.
I know this situation may persist for a while but it will not be permanent, insha Allah.

I am not in love with coups but the spontainity should tell the Politicians and the rulling class that they cannot have things easy if the can't discern between governing and ruling.
Am pretty sure most people brushed it off but let me say it is a good signal for those who think getting to the FlagStaff house is the main issue without responsibilities
