It is the like of him in the Party leadership that hypocritically claims an exceptional democratic nature for the Party and then coerces all others to fall in line with his wishes. This is an imposition that no Party should tolerate. The only thing anyone must do is to list the merits of a preferred candidate for others to consider. But as a Party leader, Wontumi is wrong in making any such declaration.
In fact, by this action alone, Wontumi has relinquished his eligibility to be the NPP Chairman in Ashanti Region. He must step down immediately.
