  Remember that you are not your mother. And with history on your side, you are able to pick the characteristics of man you desire. What if the one able to provide for you financially now looses his job and their ability to provide for you 5 years after marriage? Is this driver kind, respectful, responsible. Does he embody the traits you would want to pass on to your children? These questions are more important than his financial standing now. Does he have a vision for his life, future family and can that vision accommodate your own dreams and aspirations. Hope this helps

  Leave him alone so that he can go for his class cos you'll worry and pressure him when he marries you. You can never successful marriage with this mentality.

  No condition is permanent. Talk to him and find out about his future plans concerning his job. Some times, some women reject some potential suiters who come their way. They then realise the mistake they've made after the man is gone. Please, pray and seek God's guidance. If he is God's choice for you, it will surely come to pass. Also, Please disregard your mother's advice and be genuine in all your relationships. You will be more happier than being fake.
