The should know watchmen can be outwitted by the slightest move they make, and if thieves suceed in stealing using tactics to outwit a common watchman, does the absence or ineffectiveness of the watchman legitimize the illegal theft or stealing committed? Oh NDC!

It doesn't matter how brilliant lawyer Tsikata is,because the moment the Electoral Commission is found guilty his brilliance becomes nothing.

The material facts being examine in this proceedings are very important to the case. They must leave no doubts in the mind of the judges. If Bawumia himself cannot explain why there are unnecessary errors, which he appears to be seeing for the first time, his attention being drawn to it by the respondent lawyer, then they must brace themselves for even more serious defects. There could be more embarrassing days ahead for the petitioners as they do not know 100% what they have tended in as evidence.NPP must do some internal investigation how those errors occur.

I disagree with you. The polling agents are to observe the voting process and fill the appropriate forms where there are infranctions of the law. If about five polling agents append their signatures to a pink sheet indicating that the elections was free and fair, what do you expect the EC to do.

Yes, the EC officials and the polling agents involved in those polling stations must be called in for us to see the truth.

Divine, you should know that in all the categories that NPP tendered Pink sheets as evidence has been challenged in the matematics that you are talking about. Take cases in some of the Pik sheets that C1=C2, with blank space in the column of voting without biomertric verifcation, the NPP has interpretated that to mean over voting.
So in this sort of senario, one would have thought that any polling agent of NPP who was trained on his or her role would have put up a challenge at the polling stations where these so-called violations occured.
The respondents lawyers are right to keep coming back to the role of Polling Agents to establish the fact that the Polling Agents signed the pink sheets in support of the position of the EC on the day of the elections. Therefore the belated postures of the Petintiners that the Polling Agents signed those pink sheets to attest to the violations without actually saying so on the face of the pink sheet are unsustainable.

I felt too sad for you after reading your article. None of the lawyers for the respondents suggested that polling agents caused or did not cause the problem of NPP. They are simply saying that such agents were present at polling stations to ensure that nothing happens to illegally favour the NDC period. At the end of the day, NDC did no wrong other than emerging as the winners and so reference to the presence of the agents is just to say that they did what was expected of them in terms of being watch dogs but just that the people voted for the NDC. I can picture you as a cheap and unintelligent opportunist who wants to be heard by Ndoum and to gain recognition and cheap favour from him. Open up your miond and listen to the arguements made by respondents' lawyers and the revealations coming up and stop those cheap and ignorant write-ups.

Hey Bekaaliba, you should be sad because you now know the truth. The truth is your respondents agreed there were errors, now the question is did those errors help NDC emerge winners as you claim or not?

This mindset is extremely shallow. The role of the polling agent can not be over stated since they represent the parties or in the absence of that the party cedes its interest, trust and the conduct of the election to the ec.In effect you are saying I don't have agents so I trust the ec to represent my interest. The requirement of agents is to give credibility to the election by having representative of all party agents to ensure the integrity and to protect the interest of their parties and to sign to confirm the conduct of the elections. The role also allows the agent to question conceived malpractices and irregularities and to follow due process for redress them.So party agents are important that is why the parties are contesting that space at the sc.
The Ndoum ppp is a known surrogate of the npp and a betrayer of the cpp legacy. To day with all the financial resources behind this party the cpp has a seat in parliament the ppp has not.The unbridled ambition of Ndoum who think pouring resources in to politics will bring him honours, is far fetched. The youth of the cpp are more motivated because they believe in the cause that the party stands for.It is a party that represents the aspiration of the progressive youth not only in Ghana but Africa.Pocket politician like you are pathetic because you don't represent a cause but interest and shallow materialism. The up, npp and ppp alliance is a failed one.Like the npp the ppp is doomed in Ghana politics for a long time.

When the Electoral Commissioner was basking in glory and enjoying 5 star rating from the international community for conducting successful elections over the past years no mention was ever made of polling station agents. Afari Gyan took all the glory. Now that the dust is beginning to settle and the respondents have no choice but to reluctantly agree there were irregularities in the last elections the polling station agents have suddenly become the fall guys for the real architect of the irregularities. They are just a bunch of patsies who are being used as fall guys by 'those' who planned and executed the biggest election robbery in our history.
The real heroes of Ghana's successful elections are the peace loving but also gullible and naive people of Ghana and their political leaders who have always trusted the EC to do a great job. Now we know the Electoral Commissioner has been basking in reflected glory.Afari Gyan's self-esteem and self-evaluation were enhanced when he was erroneously identified as the architect of our successful elections and claimed all the glory for himself.Since he took all the past years glory for himself it's only fair that he shows some magnanimity by taking all the blame for the irregularities that occured before, during, and after the december elections too . He is the Chief Electoral Officer and the buck stops at his door.He has a lot of explanation to do.

Divine in your article you state that appointing polling station agents is not mandatory "may" and "shall". Even so ones you decide to appoint an agent it becomes a different story. You appoint because you know there is a job to be done, your interest must be protected at all cost! You've put your foot in it and cannot turn around and say 'it's not mandatory'. They must account for why they were put there. As eye witnesses they are very relevant to this case. HU MANI SO MA ME ENTI NA ATWE MIENU NAM.
