GTV is bad news and will only do well in private hands. Like most state-run insituitions, it is only a drain on our resources and has to go. Try listening to their news broadcast................it puts you to sleep

There is a lady who does the weather forecast for GTV and I can't help laughing when I hear her. Is this the best the country can offer to the world? The lady can barely speak English to an acceptable level. Some JSS students would even do a better job. I have a feeling she found her way to the TV through a family member or a friend but not through merit. I won't mention her name by the way.

GTV and many of the other local television stations can not compare to my College Station back in the 70s. As for the radio stations, the less said about them the better. My sober concern is that, "journalists" and broadcasters do not even speak good English. To add to the injury, they all attempt to speak some sort of British or American slung. By so doing, they sound funny, clumsy and laughable. It's a pity. I thought these stations were supposed to give their broadcasters some training in voice, grammar, pronunciation and content before they come on air. Any wonder that every live program in Ghana now is a call-in? And you can speak in any language and anyhow? Where is this JSS going to lead us to?
