Ahootan, I have always maintained that you are an illiterate and you exhibit that 52 weeks in a year because you know n shame.
If you don't know the Phrase "Tell me about it” as to when and how to punctuate in a conversation before you got to America then it begs the question what did you know whilst you were in Ghana? Even in our local Ga and Twi language we use such phrases. The Gas would use the expression “Gyah bo okeoi” or “Me ma wo asu” in Twi. In the western region courtesy of Takoradi Harbour; Ghanaian seamen of BSL fame brought such American phrases on shore. At GSTS where I attended secondary school, Americanization of the English language was lingua franca of choice. Ahootan, I have been telling you all along that you an illiterate and it shows in your Bush mannerism. In fact you are alphabetically and numerically zilch. Good riddance you son of a cunt!

The truth is just too hard for Dr. Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofi all the way around to swallow. Leadership failures in Ghana has absolutely nothing to do with Pan-Africanism, Afrocentrism, Nationalism and all as you claim but everything to do with our leadership touting their meaningless collection of classroom earned degrees as proof of qualification for their posts. After all Dr. Okoampa-Ahoofe could not be telling the truth because somewhere in the midst of those failed leadership was one Dr. K. Abrefa Busia who failed miserably as Prime Minister of Ghana. What happened to all the hidden talents and ideals you preach to those who never had a chance at witnessing the abject failures of Dr. Busia’s grab-and-go system of governance that has been dressed up as property-owning society of current day NPP?
It is one thing to own a number of classroom earned degrees and another to have understood those principles and their real life applications. In Ghana today we have people with PhD's in Finance, Marketing and other aspects of Business administration in various professorial capacities at Ghana’s colleges and universities. A cursory review of a cross-section of their test questions and or classroom lecture notes would reveal they have all the making and trappings of the USA, Western European and Canada education notes and examples. How is it that these PhD holders teaching students in Ghana continue to be clueless about application (case study questions are from the very case study questions in developed nations where theories are being applied by businesses in those nations) of those wonderful theories acquired once removed from developed nations? If there are no events, institutions and or private and public actions that fit into those economic, marketing and finance theories then what good are those teachers/professors?
It tells me that graduating students of these PhD holders continue to be clueless as their instructors. It is the difference between development brought on by good education and application in developed nations and the memorization to pass a test in Ghana we call education. Busia, Danquah and others failed because they did not understand what they were selling as well which had nothing to do with Pan-Africanism, Nationalism and or Afrocentrism.

@Abeeku Mensah, I fully agree with your statement, "It is one thing to own a number of classroom earned degrees and another to have understood those principles and their real life applications. If there are no events, institutions and or private and public actions that fit into those economic, marketing and finance theories then what good are those teachers/professors?" Adopting a Western system of business/governance to fit an all-African context(e.g.culture, traditions, and mindset etc...)creates not only a tug of war between the old and new systems in the area of national development but it also stagnates socio-economic and political growth, if it doesn't cause regressivity. Some suggest our inability to find adequate solutions to eradicate what the West might consider "elementary obstructions" in the face of national advancement lies in the fact that Blacks tend to use "natural" means to solve "artificial" problems which in effect cannot work. I am pleased the Professor's article above afforded you the opportunity to point out the futility in equating Ghanaian leadership failures to the concepts of Pan-Africanism and/or Afrocentricism. All is indeed well, for your response provides food for thought to young minds who are gearing for change. Thank you.
