Those were my sentiments last night after watching the news about the South Sudan and Central African Republic problem. What is wrong with us as a people? Will we ever be free?

Africa needs people with wisdom; peace and or stability will follow. The problem we have in Africa and will forever continue to have is our shared inability to be selfless; we lack inquiring minds. Let's take as an example Africans in the Diaspora. These are Africans and or former African who are willing to work in any capacity to earn money. There is a majority of them who work at jobs supposedly beneath them (relative to their respective classroom earned qualifications/credentials). Yet some of these very people would come back to their respective African nations and bring the wrath of satan on anyone who dare offer them a job where they deem to be beneath their credentials/qualifications. They gladly do those jobs in the Diaspora as they help developed nation continue with planned development programs. This is a symptom of a people or race of people who lack wisdom because they seek money to spend and never to understand what one wants versus need. Was the United States not borne out individual states seeking a common purpose? What about Canada and or the EU nations?
Yet in Ghana we have had the Danquah/Busia/Dombo and the NPP tell every non-thinking Ghanaian that the idea of a united Africa was brought on by a lunatic Nkrumah too big for his own good. Did the USA become prosperous overnight? Are there not states in the USA with more mineral and natural resources than other states? How do they share in the prosperity? What about the EU nations? We have sat in Ghana and traded wisdom for tribal and political party loyalties and still pretend there is an ounce of truth in the crap the Danquah/Busia/Dombos told us. Yes there are more people willing in the NPP and NDC able to yell to make their folly seem wise to the majority and yet we continue to know from every indications they were and continue to be wrong. In the end we have accepted the notion of freedom that comes from the allusions of getting something in life for nothing or for not working hard. The NDC, NPP and the Danquah/Busia tradition failed Ghana and the same foolishness continue to plaque other African nations. Look and you will find that leaders of people who talk the most about those fallacies are in the Diaspora enjoying in someone else's development as they instigate foolishness to prevail on the African continent for selfish interest.
How did the EO group earn $300million from Ghana's oil when they do not own Ghana’s open seas or rights to the Western region areas of oil discoveries? But they did care off their tribal and political party allegiance to Kufour. This is Ghana brand wisdom. So while the EO group enjoys their ill-gotten loot in the Diaspora Ghana's poor continue to suffer but continue to hold on to their tin cups waiting for handouts from developed and wise nations. Through the wars, disparities and practices of governance from totalitarian rule to full throttle democracy the USA, Canada and EU nations have prospered. China and Russia, two communist nations have prospered and yet we continue to suffer in Africa and particularly more so in Ghana because we are waiting on a Danquah/Busia/Dombo ideal of a democratic system of governance built on tribal preferences. We can wait till kingdom come and it will never happen in our lifetimes.

Africans are heroes in preaching and zeros in action. Does the AU alone have the capacity to change the mindsets of the people??? We must be active participants of the problem-solving quest, rather than being good preachers/speakers of situations and passive actors. In fact, we should have foreseen such eventuality. South Sudan is not the only country beset with the age-old inter-tribal/inter-cultural conflict. What about Nigeria, Somalia, Egypt, CAR, DRC, etc. etc.? What are the long-term solutions?
Any proposals?
