Brilliant submission, but lacked to unveil the ethnocentric dynamics to our politics, which actually underpins the voting pattern this country is experiencing. South Sudanese maim and kill each other over ethnicity, whiles Ghanians hypocritically smile about being Ghanaian, yet show their displeasure against other ethnic groupings at the polls. Are we different?

And that is a typical NPP supporter!! You write an article talking about underestimating your opposition and then you go on to the the same in your write up. Communist inferior tactics?? what exactly is that? If the tactics were that inferior will it be working? then that makes the NPP even worse than inferior! You enumerate all that the NDC is doing well as against the NPP and then you claim it is inferior, sad.
As has been said, the NDC is good at winning elections whilst the NPP is good for running the country. I believe the NPP's redemption should come from putting in place national structures i.e. constitutional provisions that will allow ghanaians to benefit from both sides no matter who is in power rather than this nonsense because from the way the way things are going NPP will be in opposition for a long time adn ghanaians will be the ultimate losers.

The simple question to Ghanaians is which of these two parties is better for the country. One that is good at winning elections and the one that is good at governance.

None of the leaders seem to pursue group or party interests over personal ones. A party that seeks to take power away from a formidable incumbent party should have a broad coalition among its leadership, based on agreement on issues of winning the elections while temporarily suppressing their individual interests, disagreements, egos, and self-serving priorities.
Do you think we do not see this? Then what is Atongo-Trokosi? You insult the very voters and you expect them to vote for you ? You are a set of dummies

The problem is with partisan politics. Let's abolish the parties for independent candidates. It will bring the nation together.

It took couple of the youth in NDC to reinstate Prof.Mills for the 3rd contest in 2008.The same youth resisted Rawlings and his wife to stop bullying Prof.Mills and brought Nana Konadu to humiliation in the Suyani Congress.Rawlings did not described them as kids with sharp teeth for nothing. These same youth Fii Kwetey,Ablakwa,Ayidaho,Nkansah,Quashigah and co are the life line of NDC but not Rawlings anymore. There is a lesson we all learn from history, without winning in the swing regions like Central,Greater Accra and Western regions you can never become the president of Ghana.Thank you.

I also believe strongly the average Ghanaian votes selfishly on tribal, party and " fill-my-stomach" lines, and cares less about who is the flag-bearer or his message. Frankly our voters do not vote on any issues that will benefit the general public. That may explain why even a chicken nominated as a flag-bearer can win elections in Ghana.
