Nobody showed any sign or act of hostilities towards the Chinese,Japanese and Jews as they made up their minds going back to their respective homelands to help in the development agenda. They are warmly welcome whenever they decide going back home and wholeheartedly invited to come back home which is not the case with Ghana in particular the insolent ones among the populace like you just potrayed.

'Look not upon me, because I am black.....my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but my own vineyard have I not kept' (Song of Sol 1v6). As a Ghanaian, I am good at keeping other people's vineyard, but not mine own. When the Israelis were hard pressed because it appeared their enemies were gaining advantage over them in the war, Mrs Golda Meir, the then prime minister, expected the American Jews to make financial contributions to execute the war, but they were reluctant. Then she told them, 'my fellow Jewish people, you are never free, and you will never be free, until Israel is free'. That statement was what turned the tide to their advantage. I will like to tell my fellow Ghanaians wherever you are today, irrespective of your station in life, you are never free and you will never be free until your country Ghana is free. J F Kennedy once told his countrymen, 'ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country'. My fellow Ghanaian, what are you asking?
Today, Ghana stands to ask, 'where am I?'

Best,First all we are not asking what Ghana can do for us but the right things to be done in Ghana. Some of us travelled abroad on our own ,paid from our own pockets to go to school to acquire extraordinary knowledge and skills. All we want is to be allowed to come and share the knowledge and skills with our compatriots but in Ghana what do we see. Great professionals are removed from their positions because of their political affiliation. You don't get anywhere unless you are blind supporter of the party in power , What a shame . If we abandon greed and corruption , trbalism and nepotism Ghana will be a great nation. I want to inform this writer that you don't love Ghana until you live outside Ghana

Look, folks, forgive the author for his ignorance that is manifested throughout the piece; Ghanaians living and working abroad have the nation at heart, and will do anything in their limited power to move it forward if they were not frustrated, impeded and shunned by their compatriots at home whose jealousy is always on clear display each time they encounter a Ghanaian diasporian. Isn't that a fact, mr. author? Folks back home are incredulously envious as if someone was preventing them from going to western embassies and seeking visas and travelling overseas. Perhaps, they are tethered to this absurd narrative that everything is cool and dandy overseas...yeah, right, come and see the wahala and all the stress we go through to earn a little bread and then splitting it into two so that the author and the rest of our ungrateful relatives, friends and hangers-on can get the other half to feed their children, pay their school fees and pay for the outdooring or funeral that is coming up next week. We are all indebted to each other....we thank those who have elected to stay home and do the good work....but they should be cognizant of the fact that we those working overseas are just as patriotic and hardworking.....

Forget the politicians, just let the laws of the land work. The laws can only work if corruption and dishonesty are uprooted from the system. Hash jail terms for both politicians and civil servants involved in dubious or nefarious activities. Quick, fast track, one touch, one strike passing of judgement through the court system with severe punishment or death.
The politicians are overtly practicing corruption by hiding behind democracy, knowing very well that, they cannot be put on firing squad even if they squander the nations money haphazardly (left, right and center) and cause financial lose to the state.
If this does not work in ten years, then bring the colonial masters back. It's just about time already if you ask me now. Bring the masters back.

People like don't bring and inspiration for diasporas to tilt their focus on Ghana. You think Ghanaians aren't informed. If you've found your comfortable spot in the NDC setup, enjoy it while it lasts. Because I bet you'll begin to cry like it's funeral when you darling party is no more in power; you'll begin to tell everyone why it's a bad idea to think about returning to one's homeland.
Just get some rest and focus on what lies ahead of you than try to pollute people's minds with non-facts. Who'd want return home when the govt. in power would demolish people's homes because it believes majority of those demolished homes belong to a certain affluent people in the society, who belong to a particular group or tribe or maybe party. Try talk about it and the govt. will employ the services of its propaganda ministers or spin doctors to use the media to lie and try to deny everything.
