Massa, forget his stellar performance at the Supreme Court. He shredded the vice president arguments into smithereens, as well as expatiated or elucidated in a clarion fashion what ails the economy.
The Veep and NDCeivers argument then was tantamount to some people praying for the dwindling value of the cedi or it to rise; instead of getting into the intricacies of the underpinning issues it under performance, such as the structure of the economy and so on.
One would expect these guys to come up ingenuity to engender 12k megawatts power, or 12k dual-carriage rail network to open up the economy for development, but nope! Nobody's home.
The trade balance is tilted against us and yet, we have graduates unemployed association, as well as armed robbers association; we import everything and export zilch but wants the currency to remain stead or appreciate. How some of us wished that the veep and Atopa had their fingers on the pulse of the issues.

It is sad Kwadwo Poku for you to write an article lacking intellectual principled foundation and logical thought processes because you see reality around you each day; that is if you live in NY-NY or in some city in NY State. By allowing your allegiance and loyalty to political party and or tribe to cloud your judgment and or loyalty to nation you choose to read from a typical NPP play book for the same garbage as gospel. Why do you think the sate of NY is as broke as a joke in spite of the taxes collected by the city and state? Look here I am sure you've shipped some of the unwanted and discarded trash from the US for sale and or family consumption in Ghana. I am also sure you have either encouraged your family and friends in Ghana to avoid paying the fair share of taxes because it is the Ghana way. In the time being, you pay every dime in taxes you owe to the city where you live, pay state income tax you owe and above all pay Uncle Sam at tax time. I am almost certain that if you're one of those with a home and or rental property in Ghana you do like to collect "goodwill" and rent but as an absentee landlord fail to upgrade fixtures in those rental units, fail to provide sewage/drainage system and adequate trash receptacle for tenants and or family to use all in the name of making money the Ghanaian way without consequences.
The economy of Ghana today is not the effects of economic activity only since 2009 but cumulative result of bad management from our leaders over the years gone by. And yes from Ghanaians in the Diaspora like you who has not seen money they will not acquire in Ghana without paying taxes and no lie too small or grave you'll not tell just as long as your political party or preferred tribe rule the roost. In the USA you should know most do have love of or for God and country/nation above all things including darn foreigners.
Take a look around NY City and you may find a Ghanaian government worker, at the UN or the Ghanaian consulate and or on a visit to the US at Ghana government expense who is abusing and mismanaging money just as long as they benefit and the government of Ghana takes the hit. It is only in Africa we pray for failure just as long as it is the other tribe and or party in power. Remember the 2008 economic activity that hit the US economy and just maybe you will come to realize that those of you too greedy and money hungry have and will destroy anything beautiful no matter how vile and characteristically unpolished you stoop to get there. In the end a nation suffers the same
