Ghana will never be the country we all want to see it because the country is divided on political lines.For that matter there is no national development planning or policy for the country.Ghana is the only country where enforcement of its laws are dealt with human face in otherwise justifying wrong doing all in the name of politics.Without enforcing our own laws how can we develop? It is a shame any time I hear learned people comparing Ghana to countries like Korea,Malaysia,Togo,Burkina Faso and the rest.What they have refused to realized is that their people don't behave the way we do

The government must be firm in demolishing such unauthorized structures otherwise it will not go away. They build because they believe the government in exercising its authority will be blackmailed in to submission. The officers who approved such permits must not be allowed to go free.

The writer of this article must be ashamed of himself for portraying the Honorable MP in this light. I was at Adjei Kojo, Sraha East when the MP came to visit the victims of the TDC demolition. On that day,what the MP sort to do was to find out why the demolition and setting up of a military base in her constituency. Some of the security personnel did not see 'eye to eye' with her question and instantly they wanted to use the butt of their gun to hit her and she became infuriated by telling to kill her instead. What happened was that she requested to see the commander of the demolition team and there was misunderstanding between the two which led to the exchange of words. I am not a sympathizer of NPP nor do l vote for Madam Irene Naa Torshie but the efforts put in by the MP all of us at Adjei Kojo are aware. With regards to the number of houses pulled down, the writer must go to the places before passing such comments. The demolition took place at Sraha East and King Solomon which fell on her constituency. The number of houses pulled down at both end is as if a bomb was dropped. Even if people build on the said land, what the TDC should have done was to go into agreement with the people and not necessarily pulling such expensive houses so that the cost of the land can be sold to them instead. People who do not have any idea about how to put up buildings can go this mile to write this stupid article to paint an MP in this light. This kind of jaundice type of journalism belongs to the stone age.At Race Course in Lapaz, land ear marked for mini Olympic stadium but what the government at the time did was that the people were made to pay for the land and that ended the matter. The writer will one day face a problem of accommodation and he will come to term with reality. I am sure he is in a rented premises and he will continue to throw such garbage into public domain without any reaction. Come again.
