Great piece! It's sickening how the missing baby saga was handled vis-svis the tepid response from state institutions to the socalled gender and human rights advocates. Consider the response of the Gender ministry/Minister to the missing baby saga with the shoplifting girls case and you see the hypocrisy and shortsightedness of Ghanaians. Suwaiba after all is a zongo mother and her rights did not matter. Imagine the arrogance displayed by the doctors for threatening to not see patients because of the favor they do to Ghanaians for working overtime. hardly did they care about the loss of the baby. You have raised important points which are that Ghanaians must begin to take legal actions against these our negligent doctors who see themselves as Gods. It is interesting that Dr Asiedu talked about international standards;

It is Barack Obama who subvert and undermine strong institutions in other countries and the case of the mob taking over governance in Ukraine with the support of Obama and his NATO allies is an example. There is a lot of evidence to show that the word strong institutions was just a ruse and a ploy by Obama to lead people away from the real issues.
For instance I can not shot at a policeman in the U.S. and live. But Obama tells policemen and governments in other other countries not to shot back when policemen and woman are being killed.
Even Obama subvert the judiciary in other countries and the case of Khodakovsky and Abramov are examples, when the U.S. courts by Obama has the right to sentence a person for corruption, but if the same is done in Russia it amounts to corruption.

The judiciary is what has put us in this situation in the first place, and as I have always maintained, we need to import judges and lawyers (not to make a mockery of our intelligence) if things must change.

Dear writer, I think if you have never had the opportunity to prosecute a case through the Ghana court system, then don't pray to get such an misfortune in your life time. The courts are more rotten that most of the civil service branches. The judges will swear at the least provocation that they do not take bribes. However the truth is that they do take bribes big time. The judges are so corrupt that even Lucifer will be very uncomfortable dealing with them.

Can the legal system be trusted. Another weak or bad institution.
