After tying army officers to the stakes and shooting them like rabies infested dogs just for taking bank loans, he is yet to tell itchy -eared ghanaians his rags to riches life story.
He instigated and supervised the cold blooded murder of his superior officers after charging them of "using their influence to obtain bank loans. Like the boomerang effect, he suddenly became aware he could suffer the same fate, years later. Since it was the paper trail that gave these soldiers away, Rawlings and his friends made the decision to leave no evidence whatsoever of especially every financial transaction. Knowing that witnesses lie but documents don't, they set about covering every dirty footprints . This they pulled through using front men to acquire property and using the off shore banking system to stash away their ill-gotten new found wealth. Will the Rawlings apologists step out to explain why and how he ran the business of an entire nation for two decades without the simple 'money received and money spent' accounting system? Or how does he account for the expensive funding of his children's education in elite schools abroad after shouting hoarsely and profusely making apologies for his impoverished lifestyle? Rawlings is the composite of a pen and armed robber but he looks at ghanaians in the eyes daily and lies through his teeth, trumpeting ad nauseam his perfect nature and the moral justifications for his misadventure. Mr Rawlings is a true christian and I'm sure he knows and understands that :"Thou shall not judge , for whatever measurement you use in judging others the same will be used to judge you".
