(Paragraph 6): On the other hand, the legal problematic of the Certificate of Emergency cannot be glossed over for political expedience. In 1971, among other things, the Certificate of Emergency was passed by the Busia administration establishing the outlawry of public display of Nkrumah’s books, pictures, etc., following public reversion to singing of CPP songs by remnants of the banned CPP at the inauguration of the People’s Popular Party (PPP), led by the radical laywer John Hansen, in Kumasi, as well as public demands on the Busia administration by the Ghana Union of Students (NUGS) that Nkrumah be “treated as an elder statesman, honored for his past achievements…and encouraged to live in retirement at home (See Roger Gocking’s “The History of Ghana,” p. 160; see subtitle “Losing Control of the Political Kingdom”).” Gocking continues: “Busia felt threatened enough by these developments to warn publicly the pro-Nkrumahists against seeking to revive the CPP, and shortly afterword his government passed egislation making it a crime for anyone to promote by any means the restoration of the former president.” Surprisingly, it took parliament a whopping 17 hours of deliberation to enact the Certificate of Emergency into law. Yet Busia ensconced himself in the public conscience as an avowed evangelist of democracy. Understandably, after the passage of this law prominent members of the Busia administration publicly went on record to demand that the heads of those caught with Nkrumah’s pictures, books, etc., be shoved down the concrete throats of water closets.
(Last paragraph): Then, his white-livered partner, Danquah, on the other hand, a man who reportedly wept like a misguided poltergeist of a stillborn fetus following his immurement with Ako Adjei, Akuffo-Addo, Nkrumah, Jones Wlliam Ofori-Att, and Obetsebi Lamptey by the colonial authorities, during the February 28, 1948 public agitations, which saw the deaths of Sgt. Adjetey, Private Odartey-Lamptey, and Cpl. Attipoe, supposedly, could not even execute a successful putschism against the politically intrenched Nkrumah, his political and intellectual nemesis, with the aid of the CIA and other subversive scapegraces, only for the former to turn around and recruit General Akwasi Afrifa and others to do the job. What happened to Danquah’s “selfless politics” and “sacrificing one’s self totality for one’s own country”? Was Danquah, a political paedomorph, as it were, truly a ritual murderer, as some have claimed?

Kotoka even has a survival instinct to stage this coup as Nkrumah has planned to arrest and imprison him after accusing him privately to some of his Aides that Kotoka, a hero of the Congolese expedition was a diamond smuggler.
Harlley, another Ewe coup member was also under Nkrumah's radar for termination as the Police Commissioner.
Afrifa on the other hand was Kotoka's adjutant and it would have been difficult for Kotoka to execute his coup without Afrifa knowing it. It is also rumoured that, Afrifa's wife was related to Kotoka or both of them were from the Keta area.

There is NO where in your Article that you had been able to point out how the Ghanaian Economy was performing under the DICTATOR NKRUMAH'S REGIME, apart from being a visionary leader.
My conviction and belief is that visionary goes with Economic realities as envisaged during the times of the Dictator.
It is a known fact that the Colonialists left us with a huge amount of Resources which enabled the Dictator to embark on the Developmental Projects at home, as well as engaging in Acts of Terrorism Abroad by killing many opposition supporters in exile as well ass employing hitmen to assassinate Foreign African Leaders who had opposed his agenda of becoming President of United Africa.
You also failed to address the Ghana Young Pioneer Movement who had been trained to report their own parents who had just happened the name of the DICTATOR.
I must point out to you that most of us lived under Dictator Nkrumah's Regime to say thank to God when we woke up the next morning without being arrested. Imagine just mentioning his name without looking on your shoulders.
His Preventive Detention Act(PDA) was full of opposition groups because the Dictator wouldn't agree to opposite comments.
For your information, Kwame Nkrumah had a complete view from that of Nelson Mandela regarding South Africa.
The Dictator lobbied for pan-Africanisim while Mandela opted for the ANC; hence the reason Mandela NEVER visited Ghana upon his release in 1990 from the Apartheid Jail.
If it is true that the late Prime Minister Busia refused for the Dictator to come home to die, then GOOD ON BUSIA. I wouldn't blink to tell the Dictator to die wherever he was.
Kwame Nkrumah had then threatened Ghanaians to attack Ghana from his base in Guinea where the late Sekou Toure had made him a co-President. The coup leaders had told him they were ready for him.
Before you come out with your next Article, I strongly suggest you fully digest and research why the Dictator was overthrown. Because as someone whose family members suffered from his misrule, I happened to attend almost every Commission of Inquiries and got first hand information of what his Ministers enumerated.
Iam also an ardent supporter of the Aliens Compliance Order, which gave Ghanaians the real senses of identifying themselves and exhibiting their Business acumen.

After about half an hour of lying on the ground recovering, the old couple struggle to their feet and put their clothes back on. The policeman, is still watching and thinks to himself, this is truly amazing, I've got to ask them what their secret is.
So, as the couple passes, he says to them, "Excuse me, but that was something else. You must've had a fantastic sex life together. Is there some sort of secret to this?" Shaking, the old man is barely able to reply, "forty eight years ago that wasn't an electric fence."

I am in my mid fifties now and l personally believe that our freedom fighters were too young from JB Danquah, Ako Adjei, nkrumah and co could not managed or foresee the magnitude of the task of handling the problems associated with a young independent country. How do you expect an over forty something man who haven't legitimately got married and does know how to pay school fees to be in control of a country. No transparency, no accountability and that equals what we see in ghana today. Let me remind you that apart from Kofi Abrefa short stint at the premiership and Kuffuors eight years as head of state, all our leaders from I.K Aceampong, Jerry Rawlins, Hilla Limann, Atta Mills and the current president whose father was a minister in nkrumah s government all have leanings towards nkrumah ideology which will never work for our country. I would not go any further than our present government way off doing things. They went the nkrumah way of " give us the political kingdom and all things......" They did everything to win political power and look at mess and rot we are all witnessing yet some of us have shut our ears and mouths and cannot see what is going on. On the British side were Prime Minister Douglas-Home and Foreign Secretary Butler.
"One could not be sure how long Nkrumah would last," Butler said at the meeting, according to the minutes recently released with the declassified American documents.
On 26 February 1964, another meeting on Nkrumah was held at the White House. Present this time were the CIA director McCone, his close friend Edgar Kaiser (the same man working with Nkrumah on the Volta River Project), and William P. Mahoney, the US ambassador in Accra.
The declassified documents record McCone as saying at the meeting: "I asked Ambassador Mahoney if he felt that the CIA was operating independently of his office [in Accra]? Mahoney answered absolutely and positively no."
