Bad leadership in Ghana was started by Nkrumah. In fact all our problems started with him. Nkrumah was a dictator and very ambitious. He introduced one party rule in Ghana and made himself life president. He was neither caring, compassionate, visionary, smart nor politically savvy. Most of the things he took credit for had been started by the British, our colonial masters. For instance Tema Motorway was on the drawing board when he took over and Akosombo Dam was not his brainchild. KNUST was established by Asantehene and the British. Surprisingly, most of the things he takes credit for were never initiated by him
Independence, for instance, was sought for by many and achieved under the aegis and cunningness of Kofi Nwiah, trickster and schemer extraordinaire. Well, all along I have been asking how and under what circumstances "Francis Kofi Nwiah" was able to change his name to "Kwame Nkrumah". I know that it is permissible for anybody to change his name anytime he or she wishes but it is strange and beyond comprehension for one to change his birthday from Friday to Saturday ie from Kofi to Kwame. This is what makes me suspicious of Kofi Nwiah or Kwame Nkrumah. He claimed that his date of birth was 21st September 1909. This day according to the 20th century Calendar was a Tuesday!!! So was Nkrumah born on a Tuesday, a Friday or a Saturday? We must find out what he was up to with all these very strange findings. He was indeed cunning and only preyed on the emotions of the Ghanaian masses. It was my wish that the president would set up a committee to investigate before declaring Nkrumah's "unknown" birthday a holiday.
When he took over we had trade surplus running into millions of Pound Sterling but when he was forced out we had a trade deficit of several million pounds sterling!! This was the result of bad governance. He should have been overthrown earlier than 1966. We all saw good governance under K4. To me K4 is the best president Ghana has ever had. Kuffour is the greatest. We thank Kotoka and Afrifa for stoping the dictator in his tracks. Ayekoo Kotoka and Afrifa. The Kotoka Air Port should never be renamed

Onuah Francis, please spend your time and energy futurizing the possibilities, probabilities, and prefer abilities of our nation's tomorrow. That would be more useful. The Osagyefo made his mark, and no Tom, Dick and Harry can snatch that from him.

Nkrumah was the first to rig election in Africa claiming he won by 99.97%. It was Nkrumah who introduced one-party state, dictatorship, President for life without a Vice President. He even poisoned the minds of the young ones with his satanic Young Pioneers who were told to recite 'Nkrumah never dies' 10x everyday and Nkrumaism has become a religion.
Nkrumah was a mad tyrant who killed all political opponents in Nsawam Prison. While Ghanaians were living in squalor, slums and shanty towns he gave his crony Sekou Toure of Guinea 10 million pounds to promote him to be the first President of Africa for life

Thief Mahama, whoever you are, do not know the culture of Nzemas. Nzemas are Akans, but Nzemas are not called by the name of the day they were born. For instance, an Nzema called Kofi, may not have been born on Friday. That Nzema, might have been named after some one called Kofi who was born on Friday.
In Nzemaland (Nzemamnle) if a child is born, say Friday (Kofi), that Friday name will remain with him for seven days and on the 8th day, that child, by ceremony, will be given a traditional name, say KAKU. The name KAKU will be chosen for him after a dignified person from the family. Not a thief or drunkard or murderer etc. After that naming ceremony, it is against Nzema traditional oath to call that child the name of the day of birth. If later in his life at the point of death, the birth day's name will be pronounced and if there is no response, then the person is indeed death.
Dr. Kwame Nkrumah's traditional name 'KOFI' is not the day he was born but named after some one called KOFI. KWAME (Saturday) is the name of the day he was born.
Thief Mahama do a research before you put pen on paper. Never in life be guided by hatred or animorsity. Do you know the ancestors of OSEI TUTU (KOFI DUAH). Don't trigger revealations.
Accept Kwame Nkrumah as you will accept your father or uncle and GOD will BLESS you.
KOFI Nwiah (Nwiah, a typical Nzema name.

I wish I would not be pushed to comment on the guys comment except that he mentioned the K4 in his view was the best president. This is the saddest thing I have ever heard about the presidents of Ghana.
To prove my point. K4 was the only Ghanaian president who for eight years corrupted all the national institutions.
First he corrupted the judiciary
Then the army and police
This he followed with corrupting the CHRAJ and SFO
He then corrupted massively the press
The worse of all he also corrupted some church leaders who he thinks may query him
He went ahead to corrupt Josiah Ayeh, the then General Secretary of the opposition NDC
This is the extend of his corruption prowess
And you call this man the best president?
He did his part but he was worse.

What Akadu Mansema is saying is simply about the enduring (power) legacy of certain individuals, human beings, if you will.
You should have known by now that even in death Elvis Presley makes more money than most people in the world.
His legacy (music, name, post-mortem commercial endorsements, etc) has consistently been the Number One vis-a-vis other inflential dead celebrities such as Bob Marley, Elizabath Taylor, Bettie Page, Michale Jackson, Theodor Geisel, John Lennon, Charles Schulz, Marilyn Monroe, and Albert Einstein. Michael Jackson overtook Presley only after his death.
In other words, these dead celebrities are more alive than you and I. Their names and legacies move the world even in death. This is what Akadu Mansema means. The legacy Nkrumah left for Ghana, including the Okomfo Anokye Hospital (go back and do your research well and come back), makes Nkrumah a figurative "living human being."
Do not allow envy, jealousy, and hatred cloud your judgment as far as the the Greatest African and the 2000 Personality of the Century is concerned.
In fact, you and I would have wished we direct relatives, possibly his children, of Elvis Presley, a dead man! Unfortunately, we don't have his dead name attached to ours!
ELVIS PRESLEY NEVER DIES, SO IS KWAME NKRUMAH. THERE IS NOTHING YOU CA DO ABOUT THIS. YOU AND I SHOULD WORK HARD SO THAT PEOPLE WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO WRITE AND TALK ABOUT US WHEN WE PASSED ON. SOME HOW THE WORLD EMBRACES THE CHILDREN OF KWAME NKRUMAH. THE CHILDREN OF THESE DEAD CELEBRITIES COMMAND THE SAME RESPECT IN THE WORLD.
For more information on Elvis Presley as one of the world's influential names, please go to Forbes. Here is the link (THE 15 TOP-EARNING DEAD CELEBRITIES):
Please go back and read more about the history behind the Akomfo Anokye Hospital. I have more to tell you but do your own research first!

I have read extensively about Okomfo Anokye Hospital (Kumasi Central Hospital) and other infrastructure before writing this and other pieces.
Go and read Nkrumah's Five-Year Development Plant and what it was used to do in Ghana and come back.
Besides, Nkrumah did not have to wait for 1957 to erect any structure in the then-Gold Coast. Do you think the government of Nkrumah began developing (building infrastructure, etc) the country after 1957, right?
Go back and come again. I can also let you talk to one of the finest Nkrumah scholars who has catalogued all the projets the Five-Year Development Plan underwrote. These are public records.
Do the research and stop talking about google.
Then come back again.

Mr. Francis Kwarteng, I have noticed that every NPP member is an automatic Nkrumah hater. What they need to understand is that if they continue like this, those of us who know what truly transpired during his days will start writing just to keep Ghanaians on their toes about their matemeho's dirty filthy political past.
I know a great number of people who voted Kufuor in, and were sympathizers of Nkrumah. All they wanted was for JJ Rawlings and his wife out Ghana politics. No wonder Konadu was overwhelmingly whipped by Atta Mills in Sunyani.
The NPP should also realize that Ghanaians are aware of Mahama's mismanagement, and if anything would want to give Nana Addo a chance. So if Nkrumah is still a problem to them, then they will remain in opposition for a very long time. What Ghanaians want to do is to vote in Nana Addo to spite the Ashantis. ie Kufuor, Alan K, Otumfuo, etc
Ghanaians tried Kufuor and what did they see? Massive corruption, arrogance, and a full cabinet wanting to replace Kufuor. Why? Because they all got to notice that all they needed was money to get there and not brains, and knowing very well that Ghanaians don't check our various flagbearers' CV. All Ghanaians get to know is that they attended Achimota, Mfantsipim, Accra Academy, Legon, KNUST, etc. As to whether they were academically placed, no one knows. As some old Achimotans would describe Rawlings as a block headed buffoon who was hardly seen reading an inspiring novel.
As we have all gotten to know, there is a supposedly silent rift between the Akyems and Ashantis. The Lord is great indeed! Two people go robbing, share the booty happily, and are now fighting to be crime boss like the mafia. That's what is happening to the NPP.
