Ghanaians are very quick to forget. I wonder how many people remember this sad day. Honestly speaking, politics have completely taken our minds from other things so much so that, we fail to take notice of what is happening around us.
I have the privilege to be at a few sports stadiums in Germany, England, Spain and others, and I´m always impressed about the security networks within such places. Have the Authorities yet taken into account such issues like security and the rest after the sad incident? What have they done to avoid a similar situations? What made me sad is the fact that, unlike many countries that have no land for a spacious stadium, Ghana has just enough of it. There are many stadiums in for instance Spain, which is much smaller than the standard ones, due to lack of space or land, but mind you, all the necessary security measures are in place.
As if that wans´t enough, people like Jake and his cronies, used such a sad event to enrich themselves. Till date, they have not accounted for all the donations they recieved. The invitations of the Togolese minister for the interior by the Kufour´s government to visit the scene, immediately after the incident, before even the police, still leaves much to desire by Ghanaians. Until we change our attitudes and accept the fact that we are responsible for our actions, we will continue in this way forever.
What about those rougue tear gas throwing police? What happen to them? They were defended becasue the Authorities knew very well what was behind such incident. They will all pay for these things, come what may.

But still, it is not an excuse to attack the the referee who has the overall authority for decisions on field. Ghanaians must learn from others by watching foreign football on the net to learn how others actually comport themselves and obey rules.
