Just look at tbe recent celebration of his 15 years as as the King. Whether it is Rawlings, Mahamah or whoever, the Asantehene whoever he is will always be King and the prominent Ghanaian King.
Antobam, your fanti butter and bread idiotic village chief will forever remain insignificant no matter what, get a life.

There's no country in this world without one ethnic group claiming supremacy and superiority. Let's learn to manage and stop overdramatizing trivial issues. After all, Otumfuo himself is aware that his kingship are only limited to his kingdom.
You spent much of time padding your write-up with heavy words. Avoid that! Instead of using so many words to show that Kufuor was indeed ethnocentrist, reserve them to describe the very issues that are ethnocentrists.
Next time, split your write-up into two

I can help but to say that this writer is very stupid and divisive. In all these rantings, he could not give us a single evidence of the Asantehene receiving any special attention that he never received before Kufuor. It is the NDC and some of these inferior minds who have created all these ethnic divisions among us because of political power. If he wants to know the truth, I will help him.
First, it was not only under Kufuor that an Asantehene received foreign dignitaries. The late Otumfuo Opoku Ware in the 80s and 90s received the likes of Princes Charles, Edward, Princess Anne, Nigerian Head of State Ibrahim Babagida, Pope John Paul, etc.
In 1999 when the Queen Elizabeth visited Ghana, Rawlings and his NDC govt did not entertain the idea of the Queen paying a visit to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II but the Queen later invited the Otumfuo to the Buckingham Palace later in 2000. If anyone doubts, you can find a book by former Deputy High Commissioner Craig Murray titled "the Catholic Orangemen of Togo". So to say the Asantehene was delegated by Kufuor and the NPP to hold audience with the Queen is false and mischievous. And did I hear him say, the NPP secured a loan for Otumfuo? Bloody liar!!! The grant from World Bank was processed and facilitated by Rawlings govt and the funds became ready under Kufuor, so please get your facts right.
The Asantehene does not need any govt to facilitate his image. Whether you like it or not, he is the face of Chieftaincy in Ghana. Even if Mahama and his govt projects your village Chief, he will not get the a fraction of the attention any Asantehene receives in Ghana and beyond, and you know it! Prominence and blessings come from God and not the works of any man.
Finally, I want to advice this idiot of a writer to think about Ghana first before he tries to divide us more. Unfortunately, nobody but himself can solve his inferior self esteem.

Only the fools would insult the writer of this article. We have all seen it and needn´t be told anyway. We also were fully aware of the national identifications that he embraked on with that criminal of a criminology, Ken Atafuah, running into millions of cedis, where Kufour declared Ashantis as the first class citizens of Ghana. We are yet to retrive that money from that criminal. Oh yes, Kufour will live and suffer for all the crime he has committed against this country, especially, the tribal division he has come to installed. For now, he is trying very hard to project himself as a Stateman but it is a complet rubbish.

So, what does Antobam want K4 to do now? He can't go back to undo what he did when he was in power. He cannot now start hobnobbing with the other chiefs in Ghana. He cannot now say he doesn't support Alan but supports Akufo-Addo when the party has not even chosen its presidential aspirant.
So what should he do? The man, K4, likes quietly being in the limelight and likes travelling around. And he likes money paaa. Associating himself with the Asantehene gives him more of these than being seen with the other chieftains in Ghana. He is only following his instincts.
Finding a solution to the problem of ethnic imbalance will be more the problem of the coming generation of the leadership of NPP than whatever K4 can do now. If it had been the wish of the NLM core to impose a certain group on top of the country's ethnic hierarchy, we can argue that those in the helm of the affairs of the NLM remnants are younger and don't have the same aspirations of their forebears. Even Akufo-Addo, old as he is, was not a member of the UP when it existed - he was too young.
It will be up to the new generation of the NPP to realise that the world has changed and we should leave the notion of ethnic superiority behind us. The modern state is no longer organised along ethnic lines and it is the country as a whole that stands alongside other countries in the world, not the various ethnic groups that constitute our nation state.
Antobam went to a great length to exonerate the Asantehene himself. I am not too sure the king is entirely without blame. It will take a very modern Asantehene to realise that the time that his office is above that of every other institution in the tribal state is gone and gone forever. He will have to admit (and behave in accordance) that he is the lord of all the chiefs in his kingdom but as far as Ghana is concerned, he is a chief just like any other tribal chief in the country. No more, no less.

Is it because Asantes think they are above criticism? But no one is above criticism, no one, not even the Asantehene!!!
And why do they think that people are jealous of them but not of other tribes? After all, Asantes are just people and a tribe - like any other people and tribe in Ghana.
I don't think any tribe is jealous of Asantes. There is absolutely no reason for that in the modern Ghana!

It is still not jealousy. Even if we grant that someone is out to destroy the image of one group of people (which I doubt, anyway, because that is simply impossible) it is not because the guy is jealous of that group. I don't believe anybody is jealous of Asantes.
There may be some people who may not like some things Asantes do or some behaviour patterns they may exhibit but that is not because they are jealous of them.
Jealousy pre-supposes that someone has something or is some great quality which you want BUT CANNOT GET. I don't think people have that attitude towards Asantes. I don't think people want something which Asantes have that they cannot get. It is not jealousy.
It is Asantes themselves who think other people are jealous of them. But it is not true. There is no reason why anybody should be jealous of Asantes. There is also no reason why anybody should hate them. No reason at all. They are just like any other Ghanaians in the things that matter most. And I don't think anybody can destroy any image of the Asantes! No!

The most corrupt and visionless king in the history of Asante kingdom, he took millions of pounds to buy house in London, and South Africa. Can he boast about any developmental project he has done in Asanteman? Our president John Dramani Mahama and his government can do whatever they like to the taxpayers money and the revenues we generated from our resources but i careless because that money is for the nation and not for some ethnic group but K'dua can't use Asanteman money to buy house because that money is not for him but for Asanteman. Where are the royalties that he collect from gold, timber etc? That money has gone where? Look at Obuasi and Adansiman at large no good roads, everything is poor why should it happened in that way? I know not if there is any sensible being left in Adansi, all what Adansi people know is to discriminate against themselves, we must stop such behavior and come together as one people with common aim to develop our Area. Now Adansi should secede from Asanteman, we don't need any crook man parading himself as a king and misusing our money whiles our children are suffering. Adansi wake up from your slumber too long in unification of Asanteman slavery. Where are our forefathers who built our kingdom? A kingdom of Gold, a kingdom with reputable history, oh Adansiman your children has betrayed you and has left you to suffer with all that you produce gold, timeber, cocoa etc, it is not over until is over my Adansi people wake up

As an outsider, mother of a Ghana-lover & visitor, I feel I have learned a lot from this article. The well-written and heated attacks on the writer make me fearful that the country I admire from a distance is somewhat troubled by intertribal hostility. As a teacher, I appreciate corrections, but I hate it when small errors are claimed as proof of someone's idiocy. I also think that 'jealousy' does imply that a tribe has elevated power.

Kuffour is simply a throw back to the typical primitive powerful African of the 17th century. They always have a provincial view of the world with absolute conviction. They are incapable of seeing how the rest of the world views them. It's pretty sad.
This open sore of chieftaincy is daily reminder to the rest of the world of our backwardness. But those who believe that it serves their provincial and parochial purposes will forever argue otherwise. We shall forever remain the lowest caste of the human race. I'm embarrassed to be a Ghanaian when chieftaincy issues are raised around me here in the diaspora. It's a 17th century practice. We just simply have refused to evolve, and the rest of the human race has left us behind. Pretty sad!!
