While hardworking citizens like Siaw, Appiah-Menka, B. A. Mensah were being chased out of the Country, the citizens vetting committee was busily pocketing monies extorted from Ghanaians.
The privatisation of state owned enterprises paved way for a "noveaux riche" sponsored by Jerry Rawlings and his wife to scavenge the economy for 19 years.
The atrocious plunder of the Ghanaian economy was organised and supervised by The PNDC under the feared leadership of Jerry Rawlings. Woyome, Isofotun, Gyeeda and subah were a logical progression of Juliet Cotton and many infamous acts from the PNDC Era.
What do you expect of the Gas Infrastucture when one of the key players,George Yankey is a convicted criminal and an alledged beneficiary of the Mabey & Johnson scandal?
What do you expect of the fight against corruption when PV Obeng is honoured with a state funeral when a state body CHRAG determined that he has used his position to engage in illicit activity against the state?

When people get away with malfeasance others are encouraged to follow. The as Isaid in my posts the PRIVATE sector has failed us completely . K4 flew all over the world looking for investments . But you will recall how JJ put emphasis on local councils trying tomake them centers of dvelopment. I still think we need to PRODUCe and the fight against corruption should start there

It is really a sad state of affairs in our dear country. For those of who cut our political teeth in the 1980s, watching some of our former colleagues dabble in this general mismanagement makes it hard to take. We all know economies, both advanced and developing, go through periods of difficulties. The trick is how deligently measures are pursued to address such difficulties. When Structural distortions occur they need to be addressed and new ways of resolving problems that appear, are found. It takes proper diagnosis, accurate and informed measures, planning and disciplined implementation, course correction when conditions change, as they are bound to, in any normal human society.

By the way, how on earth do you expect Prof Kwesi Botchwey, a member of the 'Looting Elite', to expose the full scale of the rot in Ghana, and the shocking details of corruption under this NDC Government? This is like asking Prof Kwesi Botchwey to renounce his past and the NDC party. Personally, I find him very hypocritical standing sanctimoniously on his legs talking about the country's economic mess and corruption. As a former Finance Minister under P-NDC Administrations, he should rather apologise to Ghanaians for his part in running this country to the financial and economic crisis we find ourselves today. He pursued economic strategies which left the Ghana economy heavily in economic and financial deficit.
Prof Kwesi Botchwey is one of the deeply corrupt politicians in Ghana. He presided over some of the P-NDC shady deals and scandalously corrupt activities. He is one of the politicians who sold Ghana down the Lake Volta.

Ewi Botchwey is hugely responsible for the crushing unemployment among university graduates and ordinary folk due to his criminal, reckless dismantling of Nkrumah enterprises (GIHOC). A fraudulent privatization that landed the Rawlingses with 2 factories and assorted GNTC properties. Ewi Botchwey cannot live by what he imposes on others. He could not create a business for himself by his own efforts as he expects graduates to do. Instead he is still stealing from his many STATE JOBS (Economic Advisor to Mills, Chair of Ghana Gas)!!!
