Many women still think, they have to endure everything quietly, but that is a mistake.
While, of course, wives should be very patient with their husbands - as no-one except GOD is perfect - there are some limits that cannot be accepted to get transgressed. Constant brute abuse and chronic choleric anger are such cases.
I hope she has the financial independence, strength of will, opportunity for her own income or compassionate support of her family, so that she can stay away from him. I'm not advocating divorce, but staying at separate places.
As for these traditional leaders - it is time that the enlightenment of morality, education and prosperity rids them of their positions of authority.

I will prefer Mahama appoints a committee to abolish all these senseless customs.This is the 21st Century.The Ministry of Women and Children has a major responsibility.I wonder what that ministry is mandated to do.
