A named popped on here in the entertainment section last week and when I asked who she was, some dim-witted blockheaded Ghanaians descended on me like a pack of starved wolves wanting to know why I was not familiar with that Nigerian name.
My only crime was I didn't know who she was and I had the balls to ask.
So as long as Ghanaians absorb Nigerian entertainment news like it's the only news in the world and every Ghanaian automatically should be familiar with every Nollywood name, we would keep getting their news on Ghanaweb because we've 'sold' our souls to Nigerians.
So my countryman, learn to live wth the fact that we sold our souls to the 'devil' and as we all know, that comes with a price. And the price is they will keep sending and publishing their crappy news on Ghanaweb whether we like it or not

Do you realize that some of your top politicians have their major financiers and backers in Nigeria (including Mahama and Nana)?!!
Do you realize that your entertainment industry is run by Nigerians at the background??!!
Do you realize that Nigeria is the third largest foreign investor in Ghana for some years??!!
I am always amazed by the level of ignorance exhibited by some people.. they remind me of ostriches.

John,
Are you a Ghanaian? I hope not, because if you are, then Ghana is in real trouble.
What you said really confirmed what I said in my first comment that we sold our souls to the devil, doesn't it?

I lived in Lagos for 3 years before I moved to North America in the late 80's and Lagos was the dirtiest city in the word. There were mountains and mountains of filth and garbage on almost every corner of every street and the most despicable sight was always seeing Nigerians defecating publicly on these heaps of garbage. And on a a number of ocassions, I came across dead bodies at busy Kejetia station where everybody was jumping over these bodies in a hurry to get to their destinations. No care for a fellow human in the world.
Nigerian politicians were the most corrupt in the world then, too. Corruption amongst the Nigerian populace was done in an art form. Nigerians were 'specialists' in that area.
Armed robbery was an everyday occurrence.
Unfortunately, while some of us were working as doctors, engineers, teachers, technicians, labourers, and even latrine carriers, some of our women were selling themselves as sluts.
Power rationing by NAPA was in full swing.
No properly treated drinking water for citizens. Boreholes with unhealthy water were what evey house in Lagos had.
No publics toilets in the city of Lagos.
In those days, even when Ghana was not as rich as Nigeria, we Ghanaians took those things for granted because our country was being run like a well-oiled machine.
So you see, in my view, it's unfortunate that Nigerians seem to have a hand in everything happening in Ghana now by your claim. They transported and transplanted every vice they were practising in Nigeria into Ghana. They messed up their country and now they see Ghana as an easy picking.
Our cities are choked with filth and garbage, armed robbers have a field day invading people in their homes killing, maiming and raping any woman they find in these homes; not to mention the atrocities these vermins inflict on innocent passengers travelling on our highways.
Nigerians are using Ghanaian passports they illegally got from corrupt Ghanaian officials to wreak havoc in the Western world of Europe and North America. I've lived in North America for more than 15 years so I know what I'm talking about.
Corruption is now being practised in Ghana like there's nothing else to do. It has eaten into the fabric of every Ghanaian. From the ordinary clerk in an office all the way to the ministries and the president's office.
"DUMSOR-DUMSOR" has become part of the Ghanaian life, slowly killing most of our industries.
Do you see the similarities I'm pointing out here, John?
So you see, John...I'm not as ignorant as you are. I don't bury my head in the sand like nothing is happening around me.
I'm not impressed one bit if the corrupt, thieving and clueless political leaders have Nigerians as financiers because that's what I said exactly. We sold our souls to the "devil" and we have all seen the price we are paying for that.
So if you are a 'Ghanaian' and you bury your head in the sand and behave like every is 'dicketty boo', then you are the famed ostrich, are you not?
I don't really give a fuck if Mahama and Akuffo clean the shit off the asses of these corrupt Nigerian financiers. Not all Ghanaians are fools. Some of us are well-educated and can read and see through scammers like you and your Nigerian financiers.
Some of us don't give a shit about Nollywood and their actors. Nollywood can go to hell for all I care. Why do I have to waste my time trying to know the fake, copy cat actors when I got the real deal( hollywood ) in my backyard?
The fact that this Ghanaweb has some Nigerian backing or content doesn't mean I have to be assailed with 'assaults' if a Nigerian name pops up on here and I ask who he or she is. Do you get my drift, John?
Some of us haven't sold our souls to the devil so if by not knowing inconsequential Nollywood names, you call me ignorant, then so be it. I don't really give a rat's fucking ass what you think.
Meanwhile, take care of yourself and your 'KALBULE' business in Ghana. GHANA deserves what it getting with shallow minded people like you supporting crooks who are messing up our once beautiful country.
I, for one don't need you or the Nigerian coutry "killers" because I'm using the good education I benefitted from Ghana to good use over here in North America and I'm being paid good money for it. I paid my dues in Ghana after the University for some years so I don't feel guilty using the knowlege I acquired from then the best Ghanaian education.
My only wish is that the country wouldn't keep on suffering from corrupt illegal 'raiders' and thieving, clueless politicians alike because I still have family there, not to mention that it's still my country and my home.
