It`s the same Hitler`s Germany that has been home for many black people mostly from Africa. Stop your statement and say something better. Racist would exit for ever. Even those in the north of the continent don`t regard you as a human being how much more someone in Europe. No one could stop that simply because we the blacks don`t accept or regard our race.

You are right, Neymar public support of Argentina because of his teammate Messi at Barcelona is just a PR stunt. They don't even get along at Barcelona.

I share your sentiments completely. There are more reasons why Africa must must lend her support to the Germans than the South American opponents. In this age and time when the black sperm has defied and transcended geographical boundaries, any country that cannot proudly put their diversity on display, should/must be given a cold reception.

What an ignorant racist. Fine with me which team you support; but do you have to bring in all about skin-colour and descent of players? Please, go read your history and you will know why there are almost no people of African descent in Argentina but Brasil full of them. You should be very ashamed of yourself whenever players hold the banner 'NO TO RACISM' and shake hands for peace before and after each football game.

Why Argentina doesn't have blacks? You may have been reading the wrong history books. Don't forget Germany started off without any blacks but today is made up of people of all the different races of the world. That must be celebrated.

We live in a racist world. That's why Argentina has a team without 1 black players. How many south American teams at this tournament had no blacks in their team?

In its pretensions to celebrating diversity, this article also insinuates that Argentina operates a racist policy in its selection to the national team. It is an over simplification to suggest that racism is only a case of Black Africans vrs. Caucasian Europeans. Argentina has a mix of players with Spanish descent,Indian descent and mixed race descent (You may refer to Sebastian Veron, a mixed race black, who even captained the Argentine national team.)

Siisi, no, I am not insinuating that Argentina operates a racist policy in its selection. If there are good footballers in Argentina who are black, I am very sure they will be selected to enhance the chances of the country winning honours.
Please, note that the article is FOR Germany, not so much as AGAINST Argentina who, in other circumstances, will be my sentimental favourites. The magic dribbler, Leo Messi, is a great favourite of mine.
It is not a matter of Black versus Caucasian. In today's world, there are hardly any pure breeds of human being. Most of the German players are of the same race as most of the players in Argentina. So it is really not a racist thing. I just feel closer to the Germans than the Argentines and need a few reasons for that...

Efo Amenyo, this is a brilliant piece. Of course, there is no doubt many Ghanaians will be supporting Germany against Argentina. Aside supporting Germany because of Ghanaian descents like Jerome Boateng in the team, Germany has supported Ghana's football development and offered opportunities to Ghanaian players in the Bundesliga than any other country in the world.
Again, the German team has been impeccable on the pitch throughout this tournament.

The Argentines play the same role in European football as the Ghanaians do. They are purchased from their local teams. Why are their no Africans playing on Argentine teams? Because in the globalization of sports, Argentina exports players and rarely imports them. Why are there no Argentine Blacks playing on the national team? Few African slaves were imported to Argentina, so there are virtually no people with identifiable African descent there. The same is true of Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, and Bolivia. The globalization of race has its own logic.
