My brother your ecstatic riff is crooned with your own bias.Africa teams are no match to the teams they played. The black stars is the most talented team from Africa. But they ran into a very unlucky day. They need a strong and talented defense and a goal keeper.Everything look supra going into the game and they let USA beat them. This ended their 2014 world cup dreams.Ghana should have beaten Germany and not drew with them. I take my hat off for coach Appiah.

I wanted to agree with part of what you wrote but I have realised it is all rubbish. Observe one minute silence for Boko Haram victims? Then if you consider all the terrorist attacks, there will be no football. All the minutes will be devoted to observing silence for deaths. De stephano was a footballer; that explains the observation of silence upon his demise.

Brotherhood, what? Bokoharam's footstool/bedroom, and or at its domain, your argument that "FIFA didn't do well" or could have done better is like using basket to fetch water.

FIFA has a policy of not getting involved in politics of its members and such a gesture would have been contrary to its policies.

your idea is laudable but was it ever suggested to FIFA or did you bring to any ones attention, for consideration prior to the games?

On referering, the ghanan referees association promotes referees. for long, they promoted ref joseph lamptey alone. He disappointed in a CaF match and was suspended so Ghana lost it. The referees association need to stop the favoritism . GFA should also start making sure referees are sanctioned anytime they misbehave. maybe then FIFA will look at Ghana. At the moment, one female assistant referee is gone for the women u-21 world cup.

Such a poorly written article. I'm sorry but the writing style of a professional journalist should be above 6th grade writing. Instead of bashing on useless agenda, how about you write about a more pressing issues, like the poverty and government corruption that is going on in our Beloved Ghana. And while you are at it, how about you write it in a more elaborate professional manner. Only grade school children put their source right in the middle of the paragraph; professional writers find a more better (and smooth) way to incorporate their sources.

Are you saying FIFA claimed to have chosen the best referees yet there were bad calls? Suppose FIFA had selected referees from the corrupt and inept Ghanaian and Nigerian referees what would have happened. Let Ghana and Nigeria put their corrupt and inept houses in order, and the world will show them respect.
Now to your second beef with FIFA concerning the 200 adopted Nigerian girls. You may do well to find out from the Nigerian FA if they made the request to FIFA to observe a one-minute silence to observe the girls' abduction. Such request must come from the participating country, and if Nigeria did not make the request then why should FIFA care? FIFA is not a political organization, and will not use the football platform for political purposes. What tradition will FIFA be setting if it delves in political issues - just think about it with all the strife in the world.
