Mahama is not helping Ghanaians to help him.
Any politician who does not listen critically to voices of dissent can not make progress. When he tells the whole world in Kumasi "yentie obiara.." and goes ahead to rule to the exclusion of all other citizens except the young, politically uninitiated praise-singers he has surrounded himself with, when he considers everything the opposition says about governance as voices coming from enemies as though they are not Ghanaians and have no stake in Ghana how then can he galvanize the totality of the Ghanaian populace as a father for all to buy into his philosophy? The mentality change you talk about should first start from him for, a fish rots from the head.

mahama was a mistake choice that believe me most even in their God forsaken ndc party truly regret . Mills was murdered so that pepeni and ayigbe idiots could get their hands on power and money . now we all see what they are really doing soon they will be swept away and never again will any of them even come close to any official institution of state . mahama and his brothers after financial forensic investigations will be the first president to get a life sentence for corruption and crimes against the state . the alternative is a bloody revolution and war forget a peaceful transition of power as the will definitely try to proclaim victory by rigging the elections with the help of national security .This time the people will not be taken for a ride as we saw with the glorious demonstration in Kumasi the other day, the Ashantis have finally made us proud .Yes what have WE AKANS done to deserve such a stinking foul corrupt thieving pepeni/ayigbe kum Ga govt on our heads ? A whole police chief no dey see top when the people the people started to spontaneous arrive and they no go see top when this is organized nationwide with the help of all progressive political forces that do not agree with the daylight robbery corruption we are see today . If they even dream of shooting just one bullet we shall turn the demo bloody and deal with them all . We Akans are tired of being cheated and we will get justice and freedom whether they like it or not . Their police in their uniforms of brutality can not frighten us as we have nothing to loose , they have made life so hard that it cant get any worse . we are fed up with their incompetence , selfishness ,lies, discrimination and hate .

You are an undignified idiot lacking ideas and incapable of any worthwhile evaluative and analytical skills. UK, USA, Germany, China, Russia and other nations of the world Ghanaians yearn for their living and lifestyles do have constitutions put in place by forefathers with ideas, ideals and foresight. It is those worthy constitutions that sees those nations through times of even the worst kind of leadership. President Mahama did not write Ghana's constitution and is not engaged in any activity, Kufour and or J.J. Rawlings did not do but as usual your uncultured tribal leanings and immature thinking processes have reduced you and many of your kind to see everything through the tribal lens all to common with Ghanaians who are full of hate. What have you as a person contributed towards the betterment of Ghana? Our educated elite class with all the credentials needed to choke off every mammal on earth are incapable of establishing businesses with potential for sustained growth and thus the national government continue to bear the role of the majority employer of state. Every business in Ghana for the most part rely on government to make a living and yet the light is still off for most Ghanaians. Your name calling is not going to convert the thieving Kufour or J.J. Rawlings into saints neither is it going to make Nana Akufo-Addo and all those who desire to become Ghana's future president become people with care and love for Ghana above their parochial greedy needs to become filthy rich even as most die of hunger, curable diseases and other simple services from government that never comes.

I wish we had more people with your mentality. They see, hear, smell, or feel NO good in any one else . How can we win with about 50% wishing for our own downfall? What a pity?

Mr Ibrahim Hardi, I agree with you on a number of points raised, important of all making away with the PHD syndrome and the need to support the government to realise their good plans for the country. I am however, surprised by the following statement you made:
"Tackle the loopholes in our education system and others, and not what the NDC did wrong. Tackle the bureaucracies in our civil service, and not whether so so and so minister caused financial loss to the state."
Did you actually mean that? Such a statement, taken literally unless it has a different meaning, makes you a sycophant rather than a patriotic Ghanaian that your article seems to depict.

It's really sad everyone makes the hullabaloos in the benefit of his or her political party.I'm sick and tired of all these fruitless noise. But we always blame the leaders but most problems come from the grasses not the elephants wrestling. When will Ghanaians come to know that whatever belongs to the government belongs to the individual citizens so we must take care of it like we bought it with our money? When will we the so called literates from,High schools,Universities,Hospitals, and all sectors of governmental institutions learn to keep things in order to maintain them to last? When are we going to know that littering our environment will cause diseases and will lead to financial lost to the state ? As Jesus said in the Bible,i have got a lot to tell you but you cannot bear them now, likewise i have a lot to tell the leaders and the public but this platform cannot bear it,i really need a best platform to express myself because in my heart and brain is a chock of pain.I wonder how Ghanaians feel seeing the white land ,so pathetic .I have always being in argument with my colleagues about my beloved country Ghana.I really love and proud to be called a Ghanaian but this is the pain that comes out of it,the capable beings who can help drive the country to the respectable peak are getting the privilege.I really feel sad for Mother Ghana.Poor you Mother Ghana!!..

You're right on point. Ghanaians need a change in mentality. Here are some areas we need to change. 1.Work Ethics :Reporting to work and closing right on time; Getting paid for a full 8hours of work each day. 2. Pass an Anti Discrimination Law. 3.End cronyism, nepotism, political sycophancy. 4. Introducing true Transparency and Accountability in all aspects of our lives.
How did it all start? It was Rawlings who started it all and got adopted and glorified by his followers to dizzying heights as the new norm. It got worse under Mills presidency when young students graduating from college with no work experience were appointed as ministers and deputy ministers, sidelining the more capable hands. These new kids "with sharp teeth" and vicious tongues spent the entire working day not at their desks doing what they're employed and paid with the taxpayers to do but criss-crossing radio stations defending the indefensible policies of the administration and insulting anybody who dared to disagree with them. It's just unbelievable how the administration turned a blind eye and deaf ear to this idiocy and bad example from members of the administration who are supposed to set the tone for public discourse and exemplify the work ethics they expect from the ghanaian workforce. It's important for all to understand that we should never start something we've not thought about deeply enough and realize midstream we cannot finish or maintain its momentum.
We can and must change from all these negative traits but isn't it incumbent upon the ruling administration to initiate and exemplify the changes they want to see in the lives of every Ghanaian? Change starts from the recognition and admission that something is wrong and so it'd be better for the ruling administration to do more listening than talking and giving the citizens the assurances that "we can hear you, we're paying attention and working for solutions to the problems". The administration will have to come to terms with realities on the ground and understand that they were voted to power by a majority of ghanaians, including independent voters and some from the opposition and that the administration stands for the best interests of all ghanaians. When the elections are over with the winners declared it's really over and governing starts right away. No one needs to be marginalized because of their political affiliation or views. After all it's a democracy.
End of elections should not mean the beginning of new hostilities and a payback for all those who opposed the winners. Fairness and equity must guide the administration's policies and programs.
By the way what prevents the president from employing the services of well qualified ghanaian professionals and technocrats living all over the world? Why are we not using cream of the cream of our human resources and instead go for mediocre performers and jokers? Is it because we plan to fail knowing there would be no consequences for failure? Why does the administration protect corrupt officials and mediocre performers and keep reshuffling them, rewarding them with new portfolios they have not earned and don't deserve? Why are we not borrowing ideas from those who have succeeded in the same things we're failing at? Is it foolish pride or we just don't care because we don't expect any consequences from failure?
Alright, let's begin with the mentality change now and see if we can stop the digging, and dig ourselves out of the deep hole we dug for ourselves against the trend of public opinion.
