What I find difficult to understand is, why most Ewes cannot come to terms with the reality in front of them to be decent in the environment and win the goodwill and acceptance of the people in Ghana.
My question however is, for how Long will Ewes like Bokor remain tribal, partisan, primitive and hypocrite ???

In policy making and implementation,Its always good to lift the veil,to analyse the figures to check on the extremes to see the real drivers otherwise you will serve a bad meal.
And that is what Dr.Bokor means in his penultimate chapters.Statistic figures are good but they have limitation.

What data does Dr Bokor have to back his claims? Perception is one thing, facts based on reality are quite another.
The Veep, as I pointed out, was merely referring to current and historic data from the GLSS. I would not expect an experienced economist, former deputy finance minister and Governor of Bank of Ghana to do otherwise.
Let us stop making judgements on perceptions alone. Let us base our arguments on proven data.

Doc thumb up for hitting the nail right on the head.

Is it untrue that poverty has been reduced over the years, even before the current administration? Of course Ghanaians are going through some challenges as elsewhere in the world even in countries considered more prosperous. Are you challenging the fact that something is being done but more needs to be done as stated by the Veep? Perhaps you fail to realize that the pupil sector is no longer as productive as it used to be. And it cannot just be only that we need more money! We also need to apply our education correctly , in the service of our clients, the public and mother Ghana! That is why we are called public servants! If it is not cool for us what about the rural farmer? Have they stopped working?

No dishonesty by the VP. What the VP communicated in simple terms is that the government has reduced the number of poor in the country from five to four out of ten, say. Nothing more! Please check World Bank reports before you try to make your point here.
Of course, the VP's claim is no music to the ears of the remaining poor. Nevertheless, what good leaders do is mention this in the context that the government cares, and is still working to make things better for the poor left behind. Clearly, the VP did as best as anybody could have done in that regard.
If you wish to appeal to the passions of the poor by peddling hopelessness, the honest thing you can do is challenge government policies, not what the VP said. What the VP said was honest and honourable.
Borkor's article is irresponsible. It shows the mark of an educated rogue.
