Great expository essay that serves as a reminder to leaders of developing countries that government participation in all spheres of national development is a given - even in a so-called "free-market economy." It is unavoidable, whether such country is pursuing capitalism, socialism, communism or a combination of any of the above;therefore, it is safe to conclude that it behooves our leaders to set up an efficiently run regulatory system that takes into account all types and levels of businesses:micro, SMEs and big businesses and for the courts to incorporate fair trading laws within the system to ensure rapid and substantial economic growth.
A very helpful piece for rookie entrepreneurs who may easily be frustrated by Ghana bureaucracy in the course of each business day.The many taxes, duties and levies are tiresome but the good news is they help fill the national coffers; if only corrupt officials would keep their sticky hands off! Bless Ghana!
