To the best of my knowledge, or lack thereof????, Francis Poku took a hit in the past for being too aligned with NADAA. Akyemkwaa, be advised to let sleeping dogs lie; don't "feast" on them. Sincerely, Lexus

I think you guys better shift focus to the diminishing Mineral hopes of your area rather than to the Presidency, until you could identify a better candidate than Akufo-Addo to offer Ghana to occupy the Presidency. OMG! Where are the Ofori Attas and others?
Meanwhile, the Akwatia Mines, in particular, have operated for decades and provided virtually nothing in return to the locals. Your Gold is being currently sucked from your backyard away into the pockets of the Chinese, and other dubious foreign investors, who imperil the lives of poor youthful citizens by encouraging them to engage in 'Galamsey', with the blessings of your local leaders and to the detriment of the majority. Your exemplary resourceful Tropical Forest, divinely dubbed the Kwaebibirem, has been invaded from all sides by unscrupulous Timber exploiters, wasting not only the incomparable rich silvicultural resources but also the Wildlife and numerous other benefits folks get from it, including drinking water sources. And all you guys have been spending your energies on is saving Akufo-Addo one more chance to the Presidency?
The man is not the only Akyemkwaa who deserves to rise up to the Presidency of Ghana. He has not earned any exclusive right to it, and has not been ordained to do so by God. Not even the spirits of the great Ancestors of Akyem could be said to support his bid.
Why fight others and among yourselves to satiate his selfish yearn for proving his father wrong...? He had his chance many times over to do so. When he was thumbing his nose at the Father, he should have thought about the future that would come to bite him in the butt. Now, he is trying so hard, and viciously so, causing heads to bang where they should have thought together for consensus solutions.
Surely, Akyem has been unfairly cheated out of infrastructure, given how much the area contributes to the Nation. And it is not having Akufo-Addo to become the next President that would change that. It would even be more difficult with him to do so, as a President, unless some folks wisely use promotion of Tourism, both local and international, as a conduit to increase the flow of such developments to the area.
Akufo-Addo should have demanded more for Akyem when he was a member of Kufuor's Government and as an MP. He failed miserably to do so. Maybe, it is that self-guilt that is whipping him to grab the Presidency at all cost. Now, his modus operandi within the NPP is making that goal even flee farther from him.
I, for one, like many others I know, have always wished for the Youths of Akyem to confront the Government and the Companies that extract the resources of the area for greater returns in benefits and even royalties. Roads network in Akyem, for instance, is one the most dangerously neglected.
What have Atta Akyea and Sarfo Marfo and others been doing all these years other than exuding raw egomaniacal bufoonery, and stashing wealth for themselves alone? I detest insults. But I can barely hold my Peace, knowing how our Politicians have used our tribal differences to divide us, and cheated the very people they have instigated to precipitate the divide, bringing them no bacon that was promised.
It breaks my heart to realize one of the principal roots of Academic pursuits in Ghana, Akyem, has yet to claim the presence of any reputable globally accredited University. That, in and of itself, indicts our Governments down the historical lane, and more so the loudmouth Politicians from the area.
I would have liked the Drs. Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr., Joe Rexford Cobbina (of my career alma mater-Forestry fame), and others to draw into Akyem massive Educational investments, in the very least. Yet, all we hear day in day out is fighting for Akufo-Addo to become the next President.
Lexus, I mean well for Okyeman. But we have all failed to channel our energies where they should go now to realize the best benefits for the area and its great People.
Akufo-Addo missed using his Attorney-Generalship to start crucial amendments to our Constitution to bring more benefits to the people.
That is something to chew on for now, Sir.
Long Live Ghana!!!

You reject the notion of the existence of some 'Akyem Mafia' ostensibly associated with Akufo-Addo but so comfortably effusively recognize a similar notion of the existence of some 'Atwima Mafia' that you associate with Alan Kyeremateng and President Kufuor, who you have on numerous occasions deprecated.
And you expect those folks you so brazenly insult either troop and prostrated themselves before your Akufo-Addo, or sheepishly fall in line behind him to help him win the Presidency, huh?
Good job!! Keep it on.
I seriously believe that you, Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr., single-handedly have turned away more potential NPP voters who could have helped Akufo-Addo win than all the league of your perceived 'shenanigans' you ascribe the likely failure of Akufo-Addo to.
I don't think you really, really want Akufo-Addo to win the Presidency, anyway. Your feud with Gabby may be a more significant sensor to believing so about you.
