When I first met Kwarteng on this forum I thought I was dealing with a real human being, little did I know he is a 'borla bird'. He started dealing with issues dispassionately, then veered off this noble track, only to attack Asantes through some hateful series of essays which he dubbed "Stop Mourning the Ghost of a Dead Empire" or something of a sort. Well, it later emerged that he is an Asante, paternally, and have his maternal ancestry traced to the Central Region, the 'Comedy Central'. As one of natures genetic endowments, and just like pregnancy which no woman can hide from the public for the entire trimister of pregnancy, is it any wonder that his true colors - as a prime time comedian - is episodically unravelling, just as he has studiously demonstrated in this senseless and overly theatrical essay? Well, I will advise this dude to stay in his tracks, in other not to cross lanes with the indubitable man of no nonsense who never knock at doors but rather kick butts, and kicked them real good, just as he did to, and have soundly silenced Trokosi ,Bokor for good.Watch your back buddy!

First stop using Ga names as a moniker, since you are so much consumed with your "Asanteness".
Nyebro Yaw is a cosmoplitan, well educated and very enlightened world persona of Asante origins, not the ignorant, foolish, bigoted and insular type like your kind whose world view is limited to the shrinking boundaries of the old Asante kingdom that goes about bragging that you are from a royal house, prejudicially looking down upon others (check your reference to fellow Akans from C/R; and u want them to vote for the NPP?) and the and loudly disturbing our ears about how proud they are. When asked what you are proud about, your ignorance and prejudice begin to pollute the atmosphere.
Dr Bokor might just be pre-occupied with something important. He'd be back.
Btw, even Adjoa Wangara attacked the article this time, rather than the person of the writer. Try that next time and stop being among the real jokers on Ghanaweb.
And be careful if you chose to response to this, else I show you what real butt kicking is - the one faggot in the fire place that cooks the meal style.:-)

Nyebro Yao,
A "BIG" amen.
Actually I don't know what this "Nii Teiku" is up to.
As you pointed out to him, I have also advised him to stop that fake moniker and show his true "face." I think he is hiding behind that moniker to preach his ethnocentrism mischief. I told him this last year.
But I believe he needs to shed his ethnocentrism and embrace everybody. The question is, What has this article got to do with any ethnicity? None.
So where are "Central Region," Fante, and Asante coming from? Is Akufo-Adoo Asante or Fante? Is Asiedu Nketia a Fante or Asante?...I have no idea what "Nii Teiku" is driving at!
Thanks Nyebro Yao.
Have a great week.

Apart from the jokes, and unlike the head-mentality Trokosis sets, Fantis have good conscience and have always voted decisively. By the way, and in the first place, I'm not Akufo Addo and I'm not a registered member of any policy party. I am only a sympathizer of the NPP, not because my mum is an Asante but because I have found out that the npp has the key to solve our problem, as was amply demonstrated by Kuffour in his eight year stunt at the presidency. It will, therefore, be stupid on your part and, for that matter, anybody to choose Mahama over Akufo Addo because of what I say on this platform. Do you really care about Ghana? I don't hate people, and I'm not jealous of anybody. I say things as it is. That is the difference between me and your sorry arse which has earn you the title of the 'most disgusting septuagenarian with cotton wool stuffed in your head'. No wonder your Trokosi people vote as if they have no heads - 99.9% NDC all the time. Bozo! And did say Kwarteng is well educated? Was he educated on the moon? Well, all that I can say is that he is widely read. And this can be attributed to the fact that he had not known a woman for the near thirty or so years that he left the shores of Ghana. He has chosen the soap thing, I mean 'wiring' as his sex party.

Well, you have made similar points elsewhere in numerous other articles. I guess if it is important, it needs repeating again and again even if one knows one is belabouring the point.
Yes, it is clear that rogues and comedians are leading us in Ghana today. It is only rogues who have the guts to wade through the political system we have, using their rogue tactics, to worm their way to power. This means the decent and truly talented are not being allowed anywhere near the corridors of power unless they are also rogues.
It has turned out that some of the rogues who have found themselves at the citadels of power are also comedians. Now, the rogue and the comedian can also be effective as leaders. Our problem is that this is not the case in our country. It is far easier to be a rogue and a comedian than an effective leader. And that has been our bane!!!
Good old Bishop Sarpong said that our present democracy has brought about the ills of corruption, disrespect, etc. I think this is only partly true. These ills were already in our society. Our multiparty democracy (effectively a duopoly as you term it) has only made it easier for these faults of our nature to blossom. And what a blossoming!!!
What to do on this front is to punch a hole in our "constitutional dictatorship" by reducing the powers of the executive ("executive dominance" as you put it). We can only hope that a new constitution will bring this about. In the meantime, and for now, the only way of making inroads into the duopolistic dictatorship is to make sure there is a strong alternative voice in the next parliament - alternative to the two dominant parties. Can we have a third party having at least ten seats in the next parliament?
Sir John's stupid statement and "fanfoo" respect also has its roots in "the way we are". I can't imagine any politician of repute making such a statement in the "advanced democracies" we're trying, unsuccessfully, to ape. And Akufo-Addo will not do anything to rein in his bulldog. He is part of the system that he knows very well. He does the same thing. Wasn't he throwing his weight about in his first shot at the presidency and behaving like a president EVEN BEFORE the elections that he bitterly lost? He hasn't learnt a thing. He is still doing the same thing. He can't wait until he is President!!! This kind of "fanfoo" respect that is a direct pathway for bootlicking (the people in the country I live term it, beautifully, "having a brown tongue" because if you lick somebody's anus, your tongue becomes brown from all the shit licking) is also in our very natures as a people. Let's admit, Nkrumah, who, otherwise, did so many good things for our nation, also fully utilised this characteristic (weakness?) in our nature as a people. We have really not learnt anything.
Francis, your article, takes up other issues that cannot be discussed without another full length article. The discussion should continue.
Please, Francis, look at your Abraham Attah article. I have added a comment specifically meant for you. I hope you've seen it. I copied it to the Abraham Atta article of Saturday, March 5, too.
Thanks
Thanks

Frankly, I also think Sir John's silly statement, and even Bishop Sarpong's unoriginal complaint, are not things that should elicit such a lengthy response from Kwarteng, especially since he, Kwarteng, has already spent a lot of time in writing on similar issues.
At this rate, Kwarteng, too, risks becoming like Okoampa, who spends his every waking hour commenting on every silly thing he reads a politician in Ghana saying that has been reported on ghanaweb or modernghana or citifm or joyfm or the rest.
Surely we can reserve our valuable time to the most important issues and pronouncements coming from our motherland!

Dear Bro Gordon,
"Don't Sweat The Technique," say Eric B & Rakim. To your reservations:
As of this writing, I have received two emails from two of my dedicated Ghanaweb readers who appreciate my writing this particular article. What am I saying?
The reason is that they were away from Ghanaweb (and other Ghanaian web portals) for some weeks and missed Sir John's comment, the very statement on which this article was based.
They had to go back to the original Ghanaweb article on Sir John before coming back again to complete my article. So it is not everybody who visits Ghanaweb on a daily basis. I don't myself, if I may add for emphasis.
Usually, I spend a little bit more time on Ghanaweb only when I know that my article is already published or that it is going to be published on Ghanaweb.
And yes, I used Sir John's statement to raise or say a lot of things, I believe, I have not adequately explored elsewhere. Or to repeat the same ideas differently for analytic emphasis.
As a matter of fact, I have never written a piece on Sir John before. Even more interestingly, haven't you realized that readers continue to comment on some of my articles which are published on different days but bear the same title and contains the same ideas, word for word?
This is because not everyone is on Ghanaweb the same day. Again, I have read parts of others' articles hoping to continue some time later but somehow forgot to do so, only for the said same article to reappear. This time I try to finish it.
Thanks.
