Coca Cola Medal Golf tees off on October 23

Tema, Oct. 20, GNA - The October edition of the Coca Cola Medal Open Golf Championship tees off at the Celebrity Golf Course at Sakumono, near Tema on Saturday, October 23.

Mr Oswald Amuzu, Competition Secretary of the Club told GNA Sports at Tema on Wednesday that about 100 golfers are expected to participate in the one-day medal event.

He said the competition, which will be sponsored by the Coca Cola Bottling Company of Ghana Limited, continues to be keener and keener each month and that the October event was not going to be different. Fui Tamakloe, Abdul Aziz-Amankwa and Akwasi Opoku, all former champions have all declared their intention to recapture the trophy. Golfers use monthly medal competitions to sharpen their strokes for major competition.

The next major competition will be the Celebrity Open which would be played later next month.
