Ashgold hold Edubiase

Struggling Ashgold picked a vital point off Edubiase United in their week 12 Glo Premier League duel which ended 1-1 at the Gyamfi Park, Bekwai.

Ashgold hoping to turn around a troubled season drew first blood minutes before the break when Yakubu Mohammed connected beautifully an in-swing from Louis Agyemang with the homers goalkeeper, Salia Iddrissu well beaten.

The visitors held on to the lead tight but moments after the interval, it was Edubiase that appeared the most motivated to find parity. Soon it arrived when Stephen Manu, find the back of the net 12 minutes into the second half.

Manu who elected himself to effect a dead ball just around the area let fly a hefty one which beat Ashgold’s goalkeeper Fatua Duada, in post.
