Parliament registers MPs-elect

All newly-elected parliamentarians for the Sixth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana are being registered at the Parliament House in Accra ahead of their inauguration.

The MPs went through a rigorous registration process with staff of parliament. Among notable faces who were in parliament to register were Nii Lante Vanderpuije, of Odododiodoo and Georgina Nkrumah Aboah of Assikuma Odobeng Brakwah,

The others were Alban Bagbin of Nadowli West, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong of Assin North, Solomon Boar of Bumpurugu and E.T. Mensah of Ningo/Prampram.

Speaking to XYZ News, the head of Public Affairs, Jones Kugblenu said, this is the first-time MPs will be taken through an orientation on parliamentary proceedings. He said materials will be given to them to ensure that they are abreast of matters pertaining to the House.

Nii Lante Vanderpuije told XYZ News he is delighted to be joining the House among a group of young legislators. He promised to work assiduously to the benefit of the country and the good of all.

Accreditation for media coverage of the inauguration ceremony of parliament and the president was also processed at the place.
